The University GreysRiddled by death, injury and capture, not one Grey returned after
the war.
"Of the 394 officers and men who began the charge, 53 answered the roll that night. No one answered
from the University Greys. Every last one of those former students had been killed or wounded in the great charge at Gettysburg."

An Independent Hawaii?'Native Hawaiian sovereignty advocates briefly chained shut
the gates of a historic palace, saying they were reclaiming land of the Hawaiian monarchy that was stolen during the overthrow
of the kingdom more than 100 years ago.... "This is the manifestation of the frustration of the Hawaiian people for the
loss of sovereignty and land," said state Sen. Kalani English, a Native Hawaiian who met with the protesters and brought
them food. "This made a statement. It got the word out about the plight of the Hawaiian people."'
Loss
of sovereignty combined with economic colonialism and a massive influx of foreign labor now threaten the survival of
the Hawaiian culture and people. We in Dixie can certainly relate.

Bush Wants $70 bn for Iraq'Bush today requested $70 billion in funding that would pay
for Iraq operations into the next presidency.... If Democrats decide to start adding domestic funding items — over the
objections of the White House — this supplemental spending bill could easily top $200 billion....'
Hundreds
of billions for Iraq; more debt for American taxpayers.

Bush Least Popular Prez'A new poll suggests that George W. Bush is the most unpopular
president in modern American history. A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Thursday indicates that 71 percent
of the American public disapprove of how Bush his handling his job as president....'
Well, this is one way
to make the history books! Perhaps leaving the borders wide open, eroding civil liberties, running up the debt by spending
hundreds of billions of tax payer's dollars on nation-building projects abroad and greatly expanding the size and
scope of government domestically aren't such popular ideas after all - despite what the elites may tell us.

of a lawsuit filed against the firearms industry by anti-gun New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg should send a clear message
that “courthouse demagoguery and harassment of law-abiding business is not the responsible way to fight crime....”'

BJ's Bans Confederate FlagIn Jacksonville, Florida a Southron man has been forced to
park his personal truck which prominently displays the Confederate battle flag about a half mile from where he works because
his employer will not allow the flag in the employee parking lot. BJ's, the company which has shown no tolerance for the
cultural symbol of Dixie, asked the Florida man to remove the flag but he refused to do so. He says in the
news video linked below that he will be willing to lose his job rather than remove the flag.
This is a perfect
example of anti-Southron cultural imperialism in modern America. BJ's as a company has repeatedly taken public stances
that directly oppose our people. They are strong supporters of Hispanic advocacy groups who fight to keep the borders wide
open, among other things. SLMN would urge Southrons to remember BJ's values (or lack thereof) the next time we go shopping.
Should we really be supporting a company such as this that is so hostile to our heritage and interests?

Little MexicoI'm sorry, I just have to interject. I say "Yes, sir." Not "Si, senor." I
say "Y'all" not "Vosotros." I say "Yep"
not "Si." I say "Clothes" not "la Ropa"
cause to me, that's just a fancy way to say "Rope."
I took two years of Spanish so that I may be able to speak Spanish and be bilingual. Y'all, the only thing is, what the Mexicans speak is not Spanish, or rather, not
the Spanish we learn. It's slurred words and phrases from other dialects all mixed into one. Therefore, no matter how
much we try, we probably won't be able to communicate with anyone unless we are fluent, and sometimes, that doesn't
even help.
One more thing: I say "Deo Vindice." Not "Viva la Raza."

Gov Stanford Wants Stonger Immigration Bill'Gov. Mark Sanford [of South Carolina] said again Thursday the
immigration bill passed by the Senate falls short of his expectations. Sanford called on citizens to let lawmakers know of
their displeasure with the bill....'
It is time for Southrons, not just South Carolinians, to let their collective
voice be heard on this all-important issue. Do we want every single town in our State to turn into "little Mexico"?
Well, that is where thigs are definitely headed if we fail to take action. Thankfully, Governor Stanford is standig with us
on this issue. Let us take advantage of the Governor's stance to truly speak up for our people and culture and against
the illegal invaion.

Good Ol' Southern Recipes! From our friends over at Southern Heritage News and Views, We've been
blessed with some really great recipes and amazingly, from our dear friend Val, One that doesn't even require picking
up a skillet! HAVE AT IT!
From the Palmetto Patriot:
Personally, I'm looking to make some Q sauce from scratch and I need a good vingar-based or mustard-based recipe. Also
looking for your favorite recipe for sauce to dip shrimp in (I'm not too big on the red cocktail sauce to be honest -
I like other varieties and I lean far more towards the white sauces normally though I've had some yellow sauces in Key
West, Savannah and Charleston with shrimp that were pretty dog gone good).
Well I'll be darned, That sounds
pretty darn good right about now!
Have at it Brock!:
"When you are low on money, just warm up some
milk, crumble saltines in, put some hot peppers in, and you've got a full meal!"
If your milk don't
turn out real good, Val had this to say:
There are two things you can do to "thicken" homogenized milk.
You can add some half-and-half cream (it mixes easier than full cream) or you can add a couple of tablespoons of dried milk
(the good stuff and there is good stuff). It tends to thicken the milk to the proper consistency. Of course, if you
are using the milk in something like milk toast (with butter, sugar and nutmeg) or the type of concoction you mention, the
slightly different taste of the milk with these additives won't be problematic. Now if you're going to drink it plain,
then you might taste some difference unless it's very cold.
Unreconstructed had this to say:
I never tried it with peppers in it. personally, I'd rather use leftover cornbread in sweet milk. mammaw and pappaw
used to eat it with buttermilk, but I never quite could stomach the taste of buttermilk. Only problem taht I can find with
store bought milk is that it just ain't quite as thick as real milk, but there really ain't a decent farm around that'll
sell milk, eggs, OR butter. I surely do miss real dairy products.
I might just go do that! Sounds pretty good!
The moment we've all been waiting for!! -Dixie Drumroll- The Lovely Val and her Magic Recipe!
As for my favorite recipe: go out to the car, get into it and drive
to Outback. Have the bloomin' onion, a Wallaby Darned (ice peached liquor drink), and either lobster tails or Crowned
Victoria with a horseradish coating with their yummy baked sweet potato awash in cinnamon, brown sugar and butter. A Sinful
Sydney Sundae or an apple crumble with caramel sauce and a decaf coffee ends the meal (if you can find room for either or
both). Now that's what I call cookin' and no dishes and pots to clean afterward!
Well, I'll be a Bloomin'
Onion! Those are some great recipes folks! Y'all check back here for some more!

Another Thoughts of a Southron MomentToday is another day for us Brothers and Sisters to fight another
day for the vindication and validation of our Southron heritage. Each day is a constant struggle for that.
I have
been asked by many why i am so adament in my support for my homeland. I have been called racial and bigoted, and yet I have
not said a word against any race or creed. I support all of the other races and their organizations, and yet the race of people
whom I belong to is threatened each time I open my mouth and utter words in my southern drawl.
How dare anyone
question me for what I believe? I sometimes ask myself, Is it because I am white? Is it because I am not of another ethnicity
that I must be chastised and robbed of the heritage I am rightly able to enjoy!
I let you celebrate exactly
who you are without a second thought as to your methods and ways, I just accept you... I ACCEPT YOU! And I ask... No, I DEMAND
the respect I have given you! I demand it! WE demand it! We, The Southrons!
If you cannot give us the respect that
we deserve, then we will fight until our dying days for the freedom we are entitled to! STAND UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS and
take a moment to realize that no apology is necessary, and if the Constitution of the United States is true, we have the right
to speak, feel, and live in our own way.. If we are wrong about this, when it is clearly written in the Federal Constitution
which we live under, then I say this to you... WE ARE BEING ROBBED!

Katie Couric & CBS targeted by Hispanic activistsHispanic groups are going after CBS and Katie Couric for her recent
piece on the incredibly high cost of the failed policy of birth-right citizenship. This policy is leading directly to our
displacement by encouraging pregnant aliens to cross the border so their babies can be born in the US - and thus
automatically be given US citizenship. Those who support the continued immigration avalanche and the Mexification of all of
North America are now urging action against CBS and Couric. We, of course, salute CBS and Couric for exposing this major problem.

Very First Thoughts of A SouthronA quick thought from a Southron:
When did
it become evil to celebrate one's heritage? When did it become asinine to let yourself be consumed by the rich history
that your ancestors fought and died for? When did it become a horrible atrocity to let yourself take one small moment and
just realize that the heritage that you are let slip away will not be there when you wake up.
In this whirlpool we call life, we oftentimes find ourselves questioning
the things we have held dear to us for many years because of a new wave of thought and feeling towards such. Is it so difficult
to just take a moment and let yourself be educated where you lack and see things for how they really are and not for what
someone else may tell you about them? Is it so hard to let yourself become enlightened? Enlightened with the knowledge that
you know what truly went on and you no longer have to question the “if, ands or buts?” I ask you, truly, please
do this before you dare bash to cause which we as Southrons fight for each and every day; the right that is not always ours.
The right to celebrate our ancestors without the unholy chastisement of the masses of people who are either too ignorant or
too unconfident to learn and maybe, just maybe let their minds be freed.
Many of us spend each and every day loving
our heritage and loving that specific part of who we are. It does indeed define exactly who we are at times, and it’s
very, very sad. Why has a once great symbol of state’s rights now become the epitomizing symbol of all that is wrong
with the world, when it had nothing to do with that particular mindset. Why have our children grown up with the ideals that
what their own ancestors fought for during the “War of Northern Aggression” as it is sometimes called, when in
reality, it’s real nature is more that of “The Second War of Independence?” Is not Independence a worthy
cause to fight for? Have we not be desecrated long enough by this intense and deeply ignorant hatred towards our people?
We are Southrons! We are the people who have and will always fight for our homelands, our families, our sweethearts
and wives. We are not backwards, we are not in-bred, and we are not stupid! We are Southrons! We demand before God that we
are treated with the respect that we have we have shown to others, and we ask for no pity in our cause, we only ask for respect.
That is what we are about: Respect, Honor, and Dignity!
How dare anyone ever question those contributions of the
Southron leaders? How dare anyone say that the great Jefferson Davis or Alexander Stephens were in vain? How dare one say
that secession is against the very laws of our great country when indeed, We, were not the first!
I quiver at the
fact that there is not enough emphasis on the truth of the matter when it refers to the Southron people. History is written
by the victors, but in this case, History was written by both the victor and the loser, and the loser has yet to be heard
in the matter. How is it that we must be scrutinized and downplayed by an ignorant public when we ourselves are not to blame
for the insolence of the uneducated? How dare you say that there is no room here for any “Southern Racist Bull****”
When the very article you read only voices a concern?! Are our concerns not valid in your eyes? Are we far too backwards to
be considered savvy in our concerns? Would you like us to just return to our farms and be ever silent while our livelihood
is swept from beneath us?
How dare you, I ask you now, threaten me because I display a sign of my country’s
pride upon my chest? How dare you threaten my livelihood because you feel a certain way about the cross or the flag upon my
chest, on my collar, or on my back? How dare you even think of besmirching the heritage which is rightfully ours while we
sit idly by and let you flaunt your own? We do not lash out at you because of your heritage and we ask that you do the same
for us. We are a group of people, just as are many others. We have our own music, our own culture, our own foods, etc. We
have never questioned the various foods you eat, or the clothes you wear, or the flag you fly. Why do you question ours?
As a final though, I must ask, above all other things, Do you feel as if you are better then us? Do you feel like
you have anything over us? Or is it just that you don’t feel obligated to learn about a culture that has superseded
your own and has flourished since before the start of the United States of America? Or do you find yourself oblivious to your
own heritage that you must insult one where you have shoddy facts and bold-faced lies? If you have answered the latter, may
you be enlightened swiftly.

Jacksonville Councilwoman Sings 'On Sunday, the African-American
councilwoman [Glorious Johnson] joined the Southern side of the Civil War when she lead a local chapter of the Sons of Confederate
Veterans singing I Wish I Was in Dixie in honor of Confederate soldiers. Her appearance marked
the first time an African-American council member has come to the annual memorial event at the Old City Cemetery near downtown.'
Councilwoman Johnson deserves praise for the courage it took to take a stand with local patriotic Southrons in honoring
our fallen Confederate heroes. Her enthusiasm leading in the singing of "Dixie" was particularly noteworthy.
