'The American Embassy in Baghdad announced Thursday that it
had expanded tenfold its program to help Iraqi employees of the American government here, who faced threats for their work,
to obtain visas and ultimately citizenship in the United States.'
This is exactly the trap of all empires.
Rome, towards the end of its reign, perfected this model of how to collapse a republic-turned-empire.
Kid Punished for Not Standing for Pledge to the Empire
Well outside of Dixie but very interesting to patriots, 'Fourteen-year-old Bishop Edens was suspended from school Friday
because he wouldn't stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, but he was quickly invited back once his principal learned that
rule might be unconstitutional.'
The pledge has been changed several times and is in reality a highly political
oath. It is also factually incorrect on several points - namely that the US is 'one nation' (that term is not in the
Constitution, rather the US used to be a voluntary Federal Union - those days, since Lincoln's invasion and occupation
of the seceded States, are long gone, of course). Also incorrect in the pledge is the time that this 'one nation'
was supposedly 'brought forth.' In reality, the States existed long before the Federal Government and did not create
any single national State in 1789. Loyalty oaths were forced upon Confederate veterans after the war (an unconstitutional
act for sure) and shortly thereafter an oath to force upon all school kids was devised. Originally the flag was saluted in
the Roman-style that was adopted by Adolf Hitler's National Socialists. That salute was eventually dropped, however it
gives us a good idea of the centralist-minded, authoritarian goals of the pledge's designers.
NAACP's Fairness Questioned on Confederate Flag Issue
'The NAACP's call for stepped-up sanctions against South
Carolina over the Confederate flag is raising charges of unfairness against the national civil rights [sic!] organization.'
NC Attorney General Flip-flops on Illegals in State Colleges
'Nearly three months after recommending that North Carolina's
community colleges ban illegal immigrants from enrolling in degree programs, because of potential violations of federal immigration
law, the State Attorney General's office issued a clarification (PDF link) late Thursday afternoon essentially reversing its recommendation.'
If politicians want to understand the anger that is out there over this issue, all they have to do is study the example
here from North Carolina. Working with the Feds, traitors in the State Government of NC were able to circumvent the will of
the people. Not only does it appear that the politicos don't care - more often than not it appears they take the side
of the illegal immigrants over their own fellow citizens.
Article: How the Feds police Liquor-related Thought Crime
'Anytime a producer or importer of alcoholic beverages wants
to market a new product, it must submit a proposed label to the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for
approval.'
Have we gotten so used to Federal tyranny that we now just roll over and accept DC's dictates?
'The new Dixiecrats differ from the old in important respects.
Unlike the Thurmonds and the Wallaces who came before them, the new guys largely eschew racial politics. Where even relatively
liberal Southern Democrats once supported Jim Crow or opposed civil-rights legislation—think William Fulbright, Robert
Byrd, and Al Gore, Sr.—the new conservative Democrats rely heavily on black voters. Childers won in a district that
was 26 percent black. Adding their votes to those of white conservative Democrats who usually support Republicans for federal
office gave him the majority.'
'Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore has barely begun his campaign
for the Senate, but it’s almost impossible to find anyone in statewide Republican circles — outside of his closest
allies — who thinks he can actually win. Despite having a résumé that most candidates would die for —
former governor, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, president of a homeland security think tank and briefly
a presidential candidate — Gilmore has become the laughingstock of this year’s crop of GOP Senate recruits.'
The GOP is not going to be able to stay competitive in even the most conservative States and districts if they continue
nominating Big Government Neo-Cons like Gilmore, McCain and Lindsey Graham, just to name a few. How many more millions of
conservatives are the Republicans going to alienate?
Obama Panders to Latino Immigrants with Spanish-Language Ads
Apparently Obama can pander to invaders nearly as aggressively and
transparently as McCain (who recently ran Spanish-language ads calling Latino immigrants 'God's children'). 'Barack
Obama’s campaign released a new Spanish-language radio ad Wednesday that will hit the air in battleground states with
large Latino voting blocs, after mistakenly sending out an earlier script of the spot that included a reference to the Illinois
senator's immigrant father. "Some people have power
and connections. But most of us have to make our own way through life,” says the announcer in “Nuestro Propio
Camino" [which translates as "Our Own Way" in English -ed].'
'One in five American adults — 22% — believe that
any state or region has the right to “peaceably secede from the United States and become an independent republic,”
a new Middlebury Institute/Zogby International telephone poll shows.'
Very encouraging news, folks. These numbers
are sure to rise!
Yesterday we shared a piece about SLMN's video supporting Bob
Conley for US Senate. Today we have another piece from a different website about the same subject. This one is far more sympathetic
to our Cause, however. Check it out!
'When
conservative Christian leader James Dobson hinted that he might support 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain,
after initially dismissing him, SA points out not only the blatant hypocrisy of the Christian Right - but their utter uselessness.'
'A man living in Ozark County [MO] is charged with second-degree
murder after a shooting during a family outing Sunday near Mammoth.... Sesena-Murrieta, an illegal immigrant from Mexico,
is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.'
'Surveillance video from outside the Wal-Mart in Boone [NC]
shows someone jogging toward the front of the store, staying briefly while he is believed to be planting a homemade bomb,
and fleeing on foot, police say.'
'A group called SLMNews has created a new video highlighting
what they see as the “clear differences” between U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Bob Conley and Republican Sen.
Lindsey Graham.'
'Focus on the Family Founder James Dobson is expected to say
Monday he may endorse John McCain's White House bid — a major reversal for the evangelical leader who has been a
longtime foe of the Arizona senator.'
This is the trap we have consistently fallen into, folks. McCain remains
the candidate he has long been - an open-borders, big government neo-con who has publicly denounced his own heritage, promoted
amnesty for tens of millions of illegal immigrants and is even now pushing for a new war in the Middle East
as hard as he can (even going so far as to sing about it on the campaign trail). What is at all conservative about McCain?
Dr Dobson should have stuck to his guns - he has been right about McCain all along.
Immigrant Cop-Killer Should Have Been Deported 7 Years Ago
In southern Florida, 'Police killer Abel Arango should have
been deported seven years ago. Instead, he stayed in the United States and committed more crimes... Fort Myers police say
he was convicted of 20 felony charges, including armed robbery, grand theft and cocaine trafficking. 26-year old Abel Arango
came to Miami as a Cuban refugee.'
'Wary Clyburn, the Confederate army veteran, puts a new face
on an old standard for which we can measure our character. He was brave and loyal. Clyburn was a slave.... He was honored
as a Civil War hero Friday during a ceremony at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe. Members of N.C. Sons of Confederate Veterans
sponsored the event....'
'No matter how often Paul invoked Robert Taft’s noninterventionism,
Dwight Eisenhower’s warnings against the military-industrial complex, Ronald Reagan’s withdrawal from Lebanon,
and a fellow Texan’s campaign promise of a “humble foreign policy,” the Hannity-and-Coulter set did not
budge from this simple formulation: Opposing the war is liberal; shock and awe is conservative. Or as the antiwar journalist
Bill Kauffman puts it in the opening line to his most recent book, “Left stands for peace, right for war; liberals are
pacific, conservatives bellicose.”'
'Republican vice presidential prospect Gov. Mark Sanford, R-S.C.,
told reporters today that removing the Confederate flag from the grounds of South Carolina's Statehouse would not be a
priority during his final years in office.'
'Randall B. Burbage of Hanahan, commander of the state division
of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, said the renewed call by the NAACP for a state boycott is a "mean-spirited attack."
"It is no wonder that so many Confederate flags are raised proudly all across our state each time the NAACP attacks that
lone, single flag placed respectfully by the people of South Carolina at a memorial to those men who gave so much in service
to their state," Burbage said in a statement.'
