Fund Aids and Abets the Invasion'When federal immigration agents raided a Houston rag factory
and took 166 suspected illegal immigrants into custody, a Boston philanthropist and multimillionaire was ready to chip in
bond money to help the workers. Robert J. Hildreth, 57, is the public face of the National Immigrant Bond Fund, a fledgling
organization that helps immigrants swept up in Immigration and Customs Enforcement workplace raids post bonds. The controversial
fund has the backing of major immigrant advocacy groups and religious leaders, but has drawn criticism from anti-illegal immigration
organizations.'

An Update on Georgian Aggression towards South Ossetia, the Wider Conflict Involving Russia'Georgia, a U.S. ally whose troops have been trained by American
soldiers, launched the major offensive overnight Friday. Heavy rocket and artillery fire pounded the provincial capital,
Tskhinvali. A South Ossetain government statement said firing died down in the capital early Sunday and that 12 Georgian
tanks were destroyed on the city's outskirts. It was the worst outbreak of hostilities since South Ossetia won de
facto independence in a war against Georgia that ended in 1992.'

Even Further Wasteful, Imperial Spending Planned by Washington, District of Corruption 'US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has endorsed a 17-billion
dollar plan to double the size of the Afghan army over five years, the Pentagon said. Under the plan, the Afghan army
would grow from 65,00 to 122,00 active duty soldiers by 2014, said Geoff Morrell, the Pentagon press secretary, adding that
it also includes upgrades to Afghanistan's fledgling air corps.'

Carrollton Council to Take Its Time on Illegal-Immigration Advisory Panel'Carrollton [Texas] City Council members want to have a residents'
panel advise them on combating the effects of illegal immigration. They're just not sure how to go about it.
On Tuesday, the council didn't reach agreement on how many members
the committee should have, how they should be selected or just what the group should do.'
Dragging our heels on this issue will only result in an even more difficult set of circumstances to
address. No, this should not be taken lightly nor carried out without proper consideration, but what we truly
need are bold and decisive words and deeds. Click here for the news article

South Ossetia Attacked by Georgia, Georgia by Russia'After days of exchanging heavy fire with the separatists,
Georgian forces moved on Thursday night to regain control of the region, which has had de facto independence since a war against
Georgia that ended in 1992...Witnesses said the regional capital was devastated. Fleeing resident Lyudmila Ostayeva,
50, told AP news agency: "I saw bodies lying on the streets, around ruined buildings, in cars. It's impossible
to count them now. There is hardly a single building left undamaged."'

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Prepares for Next Sweep for Illegal Aliens, Other Crime'...100 posse members and sheriff's deputies will hit the
street within the next seven days for another major illegal immigration and crime sweep. The sheriff recently told KTAR
he'd soon be back in Mesa and Phoenix. "This is a big county, we're gonna keep moving around the county,"
Arpaio said. "I might go back to Phoenix, you can let the mayor know that. I'm telling the mayor know
right now, so I don't have to give him notice."'
Despite being sued by a pro-invasion group for the
ridiculous charge of 'racial profiling,' Sheriff Arpaio shows no signs of letting up in his patriotic stand against
the invasion. We at SLMNews continue to salute him for all his hard work and dedication.

Even Further Federal Socialism Increases the Cost of Food'EPA administrator Stephen Johnson said his agency found that
the current 9bn-gallon target for blending ethanol into fuel "is not causing severe economic harm", which was the
legal criteria necessary to waive the requirement.'
As Mr. Johnson may or may not know, it is not the place
of the federal government to make such a demand of any State, especially in Washington's (socialist) attempts to further
interfere in the market. One should sincerely question whether the people of the States under federal control would
like to pay so much simply to eat. The citizens of the Lone Star State and all of Dixie deserve much better, namely
a government that, in fact, represents them!

Federal Socialism Continues to Raise Food Prices'Virginia's two
U.S. senators are asking the government to ease off the federal ethanol mandate to help the state's poultry, dairy and
cattle industries. The farming community has complained that too much of the nation's corn crop is being diverted to biofuel
and that's driving up the cost of feed.'
As we see far too often, those who are supposed to serve
the interests of the States and their people are forced to beg the Federal Government for "permission" to act -
instead of exercising the proper, constitutional sovereignty of the States.

Southron Patriot Wins Local Alabama Election! We have good news that a Southron patriot has won a local race in
Alabama in bizarre fashion. 'My bizarre lucky streak in politics has struck again. My opponent in the council election
called me this morning to withdraw from the race, it appears that he had failed to register his candidacy with the Alabama
Ethics Commission so therefore he accidentally made himself ineligible to seek office.'
We certainly wish Mr
Potter the best in his efforts. His race should be an inspiration for patriots across Dixie to step up and challenge our enemies
on the local level - where we have the best shot of winning.

interstates in Florida and Alabama. With more planned in Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, and possibly South Carolina....'

should be swiftly punished.
