Conservative South Carolina
Democrat Bob Conley spoke to a large group of taxpayers in Greenville, SC on September 25, 2008. Below is video footage
of part of the event. For lots more great Bob Conley videos click here!
This is a new series from SLMN that puts together various pro-liberty
voices (or anti-liberty ones talking frankly). Thus far, there are two and we invite y'all to check them out. Southron Liberation Radio #1: Public Alienation
This video
includes news clips of Hillary Clinton, Ralph Nader, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck & Bob Barr... all talking about the dying Empire
and especially about the people's alienation from DC's corruption and control.
Southron Liberation Radio #2: Federal
Interventionism
This video includes Ron Paul, Lou Dobbs, Judge Napolitano,
Pat Buchanan, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin & Bob Barr as they all talk about the excesses of Federal interventionism. Wars,
occupations, civil liberty violations... when will it ever end? When we are free from DC.
Confederate Official Appears in Kennedy Campaign Ad
'It’s not every day that a former Cabinet member of the
Confederacy is cited in a congressional campaign ad. But the latest ad from Louisiana state treasurer John Kennedy (R), intended
to attack his opponent’s liberalism, references Judah Benjamin, a former Louisiana senator who later became a leading
government official for the Confederacy.'
Federals Intervene in Georgia's Justice System to Stop Execution
'The US Supreme Court has granted a stay of execution
to a man in the state of Georgia, following appeals by campaigners on his behalf. The reprieve came less than two hours before
Troy Davis, 39, was to receive a lethal injection.'
This is yet another reason we would be better off without
the Federal Government. It interferes in the legal justice system of our States as it likes on political whims. What is even
the point in having States if the Federal Government is going to treat them like Federal districts, under the complete control
of DC?
'Aid agencies have accused the Middle East Quartet
of failing in its mission and urged it to increase its efforts. In a report, the agencies said the Quartet - which comprises
Russia, the US, the EU and the UN - had failed to make progress on a number of fronts.'
Liberals and neo-cons
alike argue that it is America's responsibility to 'bring peace to the region'. But is it? Considering that the
Middle East is thousands of miles from any official US territory and that the parties involved in their dispute
have been fighting for far longer than the US has even existed - how are their troubles our responsibility? Alexander
the Great, Julius Caesar and even Ghengis Khan tried to unite and pacify the region under centralised, foreign control,
much as the US is doing today. The Federals have hundreds of thousands of troops in that area and yet the fighting
between Muslims and Jews, different Islamic sects and secular Arabs, etc. goes on as it always has. Again, is this really
our responsibility?
The Southern Avenger has a new commentary piece out. He describes the
video below.
'Attributing the recent "Wall
Street crash of 2008" to the policies of the Bush administration, Democrats have claimed that this disaster is a result
of conservatism. Yet, while they are wrong - they do have a point.'
'The South Carolina and North Carolina chapters of the NAACP
called the Confederate flag that flies on Statehouse grounds [in Columbia, SC] a symbol of evil and terrorism and said Monday
they will join in their efforts to remove it.'
A Christian cross is 'evil'? And how is it possibly
associated with 'terrorism'? The only terror going on here is the constant attacks on our culture from the
National Association for the Advancement of Clueless People.
Russia's St Andrew's Cross Flies Over the Seas Again
Dixieland, Ulster and Scotland are not the only lands in the world which
fly the St Andrew's Cross. The Christian pattern has been spread around the globe and can be seen from Jamaica to Russia.
'“The St Andrew flag, the flag of the Russian Navy, is confidently returning to the world oceans,”
said Igor Dygalo, a spokesman for the Russian Navy.'
Conservative Dem Bob Conley close behind Lindsey Graham in SC
'The first Rasmussen Reports poll of South Carolina’s
United State Senate race shows Republican Senator Lindsey Graham attracting 50% of the vote while Democratic challenger Bob
Conley earns 41%.'
Bill Clinton Praises Palin, Tells Dems to Avoid Personal Attacks
'Bill Clinton said Monday the Democratic ticket should steer
clear of launching personal attacks on Sarah Palin over her relatively thin resume, and instead acknowledge she was a "good
choice" for the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket. "Why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don't we like
them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and
we disagree with them?" "I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton told reporters in
New York, according to the Associated Press. "Why she's doing well."'
Graham Proudly Running on Record of Open-Borders and War
'U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham [of South Carolina] said he is seeking
a second six-year term based on what he accomplished during his first....'
John McCain's personal travel
buddy wants six more years in Congress, jetting around the globe and stirring up international conflicts while stumping for
amnesty and open-borders at home. Graham's much more conservative Democratic opponent is running against virtually all
of Graham's positions - Bob Conley wants to end foreign interventionism and stop McCain-Graham's drive to give amnesty
to tens of millions of invaders.
Yankees Behaving Badly in Charleston: The Princeton Band
'The Princeton Band, known for its antics on the field, earned
the wrath and disdain of Citadel cadets Saturday by its misbehavior off the field.... "It was awful," one cadet
said of the incident. "They're lucky they didn't get killed."'
Yankee contempt for tradition,
honour and respect is well-known in Dixie and around the world. No wonder they are so well liked in the South (dripping with
sarcasm, in case you can not tell).
'Apparently, Americans are not the only people with short memories.
Most of the complaints made about Bush's foreign policy were also made about Clinton's foreign policy. In many ways,
Bush represents a dismal continuation of what went before.'
'President
Bush has long assumed the outcome of the Iraq war would define his legacy. But the catastrophic collapse of the housing bubble
on his watch provides a new, perhaps more ominous, threat to how his stewardship will be ranked in history.... The Federal
Reserve Board’s role in the economy has been transformed in ways even economists say they can’t yet fully appreciate,
save for one: The government now has a dramatically bigger presence in the private market.'
'“The only difference between what the Fed did and what
Hugo Chavez is doing in Venezuela is Chavez doesn’t put taxpayer dollars at risk when he takes over companies –
he just takes them.”'
Sen. Jim Bunning condemns the recent socialist bailout in strong language and calls
for the bailout power to be taken away from the Federal Reserve. That certainly would be a nice start - but is likely to never
happen.
Not only is Dixie under assault every day from hostile Federal judges,
millions of illegal aliens and other quarters - but more or less the same is true for most Western lands of the
world. Europe is seeing great unrest and violence as tens of millions of Third World immigrants bring alien values and ways
of life to the Old Continent.
