Obama's half brother arrested for drugs in Africa

'George Obama, the half brother of U.S. President Barack Obama, has been arrested by Kenyan police for possession of marijuana, police said Saturday.'

It is their country, of course, but here is a situation where this fellow was apparently just getting by but was staying with family and such - now he is going to be a burden on the Kenyan tax payers. As if Kenya needed that.

Obama's hawks

'For a man who was elected in part on the promise to not just end the war in Iraq but to "end the mindset that got us into war in the first place," it's profoundly disappointing that a majority of his key appointments -- Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, Dennis Blair, Janet Napolitano, Richard Holbrooke and Jim Jones, among others -- have been among those who represent that very mindset.'

No trouble over giant Tampa Confederate flag during Super Bowl

Peter Schiff on the importance of owning some gold

As Washington, DC de-values the dollar more and more it becomes essential to get some of what you have out of the dollar. From history we can see that real money (gold and silver) can literally be a life-saver in times of chaos and government oppression.

Daschle in spotlight over taxes and corruption

'Tom Daschle, under fire for not paying taxes, made nearly $5.3 million in the last two years, records released Friday show. Daschle, the former Senate Democratic leader who President Obama has tapped to overhaul the nation’s healthcare system, was paid $220,000 to give speeches to outfits that have a vested interest in the result the work he would do once confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services.'

This is a system worth conserving, right?!

How ironic that a man like Bush who assaulted the Constitution (which has not been enforced properly for some 150 years) on multiple fronts would have a courthouse named after him. Notice too that his political 'opposition' is just fine with this. Some system!

Georgia's strict immigration law goes unenforced

'A key goal of Georgia’s 2006 law cracking down on illegal immigration was simple and controversial: stop undocumented immigrants from earning wages paid by taxpayers. Supporters heralded the provision as one of the nation’s toughest because it orders local governments, their contractors and subcontractors to confirm the legal status of new hires. But the provision has amounted to less than proponents hoped and critics feared. No one in state government is enforcing the law. No one at the state level has checked to see whether governments and businesses are complying. And nothing happens to them if they don’t.'

Peace Officers vs Law Enforcement - Rev Eugene Case (mp3 audio)

Tens of thousands of laws and more every day - so many that they can hardly be counted, much less known, understood and endorsed by most people. This and more and more police empowerment are a sad fact of life in the Empire. The government, like a vampire, strengthens itself at our expense. Our prosperity, liberties and future is the blood that they draw from us. Rev Eugene Case here speaks of the culture of 'law enforcement' which has all but killed the once-proud tradition of 'peace officers' in our once-free land.

Ethnic politics and Socialism in divided Bolivia

Autonomy for Santa Cruz!'President Morales has said the new constitution will pave the way for correcting the historic inequalities of Bolivian society, where the economic elite is largely of European descent. The new constitution will give the indigenous community a chance to have a greater say in what happens to their country's natural resources.'

The above is a very simplistic and sadly typical media summary of the situation. One thing they always fail to point out is that the eastern half of the country basically wants nothing to do with the western, strongly-socialist half. The new constitution was recently forced through with little pretense of legality and with their numerical majority, the socialists in La Paz are stripping away the rights and wealth of the east. Large signs can be seen in Santa Cruz, the largest city in the east and the center of secessionist sentiments, reading 'Save our Identity' along with many pro-autonomy banners. Yet the media continues to portray the struggle as simply one of racist oppression, ignoring all the other factors involved. The truth is always more difficult. The split in Bolivia is as obvious as are the many splits in modern America, and the ability of that remote city in the mountains far from Santa Cruz to strip away its wealth and rights reminds us very much of the situation in Dixie today. Our wealth and rights are continuously stolen away from us by the District of Corruption.

Nashville's English-only measure fails

'The final was 32,144 for English only and 41,752 against — at about 19 percent, the largest turnout for a special election in a decade.... The measure would have forced all Metro Nashville government business to be done in English, with the council allowed to vote on exceptions. The city's legal department contended early on that conflicts with federal law would enmesh Nashville in litigation for years to come. By defeating the measure, Nashville will not be the largest city in the nation [sic!] with an English-only rule in its charter despite dogged efforts by Metro Councilman Eric Crafton, who spearheaded the amendment.'

An originally self-governing city built out of the wilderness by Ulster-Scots pioneers and which became one of the most culturally-important in Dixie, now seems to be slipping away from us. If a city and government which our people created is not even going to use our own language in its daily affairs mainly because of the votes of foreigners (both aliens from Latin-America and do-gooder Yankees from the North), how far have we allowed things to deteriorate?

This is also another example of the utter failure of democracy. A mere majority tells us nothing other than what the mob demands at any given moment. This is not at all the system of government that our Founders had in mind. As the mob becomes more foreign it will naturally become less concerned with our traditions and ways. And as it becomes more democractic and more partisan, expect worse and worse things for the native people of Nashville and the surrounding areas as the ballot is turned into a weapon to destroy the local culture and identity.

More Federal corruption, theft and vote-buying

'Over the last several years, Murtha, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has helped steer more than $100 million in contracts to Kuchera, a government contractor founded in 1985 by Bill Kuchera. The company and its employees have donated more than $65,000 dollars to Murtha’s reelection campaign and leadership political action committee, according to Federal Election Commission records.'

This is essentially everyday life in what the US has deteriorated into - a democracy. Groups fight each other over which can steal the most from the other and politicians inflame these partisan passions in order to milk more money from the system. This is why the Founders wanted a very limited Republic, not a corrupt democracy. In a limited Republic based on the rule of natural law, theft is theft - it can not be justified by saying that a majority of people at a given moment want something thus it is right to simply take it. Socialism, which is essentially theft on a massive scale, goes hand in hand with democracy.

By the way, Murtha is the fellow who made all the bigoted comments about many of his own fellow citizens in southwestern PA. It was only a few months ago he was slamming the 'rednecks' of his area. And now this. Murtha is the embodiment of why the Feds need to be eliminated from our lives.

Obama Expresses Commitment to 'Right' to Murder

'President Barack Obama renewed his commitment to abortions rights on Thursday, saying the nation needs to find common ground in the contentious abortion debate so "our daughters have the same rights and opportunities as our sons." Marking the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Obama said in a statement that the landmark Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion represented a broader principle that government should not intrude on private family matters.'

I would say that outlawing and preventing the murder of the innocent is one of the few instances in which a government has a right to 'intrude,' but then again, I must be one of those people who 'clings to his guns and religion,' in the words of the emperor himself.  Are y'all as sickened as I am by Obama's mentioning of daughters, sons, and family in the same breath that he expresses his absolute support of abortion?  How many sons and daughters are killed every single day - how many families are destroyed - by this so-called 'procedure?'  It should come as no surprise to us that this proponent of overcentralised government supports an evil procedure allowed by the court that unconstitutionally usurped (and continues to usurp) an un-Godly amount of power.

Nashville to Hold Referendum on English as Official Language

'The southern...city of Nashville is holding a referendum on whether to ban the use of all languages apart from English in local government business. If passed, Nashville would become the largest US [sic] city to take such a step. Supporters say it would save thousands of dollars in translation fees, and provide an incentive to learn English. However, critics argue that it would discriminate against the nearly 60,000 immigrants in the city who do not speak English as their first language. They say the move could stop people who cannot read or write English from seeking vital help from social welfare agencies run by the city authorities.'

How is it 'discriminatory' to expect one to be able to speak English in Dixie - especially if one seeks to take advantage of the unconstitutional, corrupt, and ridiculous welfare system funded with our hard-earned money?  Let us rid ourselves of 'politically-correct,' corrupt, vote-buying racial politics and the rest of this broken system known as the yankee empire!

Is 'Fixing' the Economy Obama's Job?

'The 300-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average Tuesday reinforced just how dire an economic environment President Obama faces, Colin Powell told CNN. In an interview with American Morning Wednesday, the former Secretary of State under President Bush who endorsed Obama's White House bid earlier this fall, said the economy was the new president's "No. 1 problem."'

If fixing the economy is thought to be the job of any one person we truly are in trouble. The market can not be directed efficiently by a single person, but only by free participants acting together in a voluntary way. By the way, regulating and directing the market are the opposite idea of the free-market and liberty and essentially come from Marxist economic theory (even when cloaked in Keynesian jibberish). We can see from this news item that the concept of the regulated economy is well-entrenched on both the Left and the Right. Where is the voice of freedom? Oh, right - Ron Paul!

The Empire is now united?

"This is America happening," said Evadey Minott of Brooklyn, New York. "It was prophesized by King that we would have a day when everyone would come together. This is that day. I am excited. I am joyful. It brings tears to my eyes."

Unity under a single leader. Millions spent adoring him. The so-called underclasses yelling his praise in the streets in anticipation. The business leaders (bankers and auto-makers) lined up for more bailouts from the treasury. The generals ready for more fighting on several international fronts. The debt piling up by the second. Court prophets declaring the sainthood of the new leader. Sounds very much like the late Roman Empire, does it not? Sure sounds like a despotic regime worth opposing with every bit of the energy and passion one may have!

Students suspended for displaying Confederate flag

´The students say no one has complained to them and they feel the school policy is not enforced fairly. It may be a right of free speech, but the district cites case law which allows them to ban symbols from school grounds if they interfere with safety and the learning process. They say the Confederate flag is a prime example.´

Has anyone ever thought that having the Federal flag - under which the people of the South were invaded, killed in the hundreds of thousands and then exploited and oppressed for many decades after - might be a disturbing symbol to have in classrooms in Dixie? No free market for Microsoft in Europe

'The European Commission has accused Microsoft of harming competition by bundling its Explorer web browser with its Windows operating system. The commission said it had reached the preliminary view that the US software giant had undermined consumer choice and infringed EU rules.'

How is Microsoft doing anything wrong by offering their products for sale to the public. If people don't want what Microsoft is selling, they are free not to buy it or to even start a competing company. The EU Commission is truly the one undermining consumer choice by interfering in the market and targeting a highly productive and successful company. By doing this, they are simply costing the company money - therefore, raising prices for consumers higher than they would have been if the EU hadn't become involved. Besides, what do those bureaucrats know about making and selling computers? Imagine if the EU Commission started prosecuting hot-dog sellers for 'bundling' their hot-dogs with buns and ketchup. The horror of those evil hot-dog sellers cutting down on competition that way! Perhaps the EU should step in and require that these jobs are done by separate people. That's freedom isn't it - the government running our businesses?

'President-elect Barack Obama is expected to move swiftly to reverse executive orders regarding torture of terror suspects, the military prison at Guantanamo Bay and other controversial security policies, sources close to his transition said, in dramatic gestures aimed at reversing President Bush’s accumulation of executive power.'

While this certainly sounds good, don't hold your breath. We can probably expect some action on ending some of the torture and perhaps bring the people the Feds are holding to court - which are certainly advancements in that they indicate Obama has perhaps more respect for the rule of law - but these measures are far short of any real rollback of the dangerous amount of centralised power that the elected dictator... err, president, holds.

Rare Confederate flag in WV State Museum

'The Philippi flag is a Confederate flag showing 15 stars which represent the number of states the South thought it could count on to join its cause. Instead, the border states of Maryland, Delaware, Missouri and Kentucky stayed with the Union.'

This article makes it sound as if the people of the 'border States' decided of their own will to 'stay with the Union.' In reality, of course, that was not at all what happened. Lincoln and the Federal Government gave the people of these sovereign States no chance to exercise their legal rights. They might have joined the Confederacy, remained in the Union, become free States by themselves or formed a new union - but it would have been their choice. Instead, they were permitted no such choice. So, if we changed the wording of the article from 'stayed' to 'were invaded by Federal forces and forced to remain' then the article would be far more historically accurate.

Ron Paul on the Fed vs Economic Liberty

'At least 90% of the cause for the financial crisis can be laid at the doorstep of the Federal Reserve.  It is the manipulation of credit, the money supply, and interest rates that caused the various bubbles to form.  Congress added fuel to the fire by various programs and institutions like the Community Reinvestment Act, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, FDIC, and HUD mandates, which were all backed up by aggressive court rulings.

The Fed has now doled out close to $2 trillion in subsidized loans to troubled banks and other financial institutions.  The Federal Reserve and Treasury constantly brag about the need for “transparency” and “oversight,” but it’s all just talk — they want none of it.  They want secrecy while the privileged are rescued at the expense of the middle class.'

Even with his final actions in office, Bush is stealing from the people. All the damage he has caused in his disastrous eight years is not enough - now he has to help in the fleecing of a final $350 billion from the people.

Article: 'It ain’t Roe v. Wade, it’s the Rockefellers….'

'The pro-life world is designed to move in a perfect circle. A perfect inbred circle, where each member talks to members within the circle, fundraises within the circle, sells books and movies within the circle, and then all members point to the exact same epicenter: Roe v. Wade, Jan. 22, 1973. On this important date, we all come together to mourn the continued failure of a circular movement, and ask the question, "Why aren't we moving forward?" Well, a circle can't move forward. I'm not suggesting that we stop gathering in D.C. on Jan. 22nd every year. But I am suggesting that perhaps our emPHAsis is on the wrong sylLAble. I think it is time to move forward and break free from the circle. Might I offer a new target? Namely the Rockefellers, who have been developing and funding eugenics since the early 1920's. Yes, the Rockefeller Foundation financed Hitler, Margaret Sanger, we all know that. But has anyone been paying attention to what the Rockefellers have been doing for the last several decades? Who are they partnering with? Has their goal of extinction of the poor and undesirables changed?'

Carpetbagger Governor of Virginia to Be Next DNC Chairman

'President-elect Barack Obama is formally introducing Virginia Governor Tim Kaine as the next Democratic Party chairman. The two were appearing together at a news conference at national party headquarters. Kaine is succeeding outgoing chairman Howard Dean. The former Vermont governor is stepping down on January 21st after one four-year term...The new DNC chief will be responsible for retiring the party's 15 (m) million dollar debt from last November's election. He also will be tasked with reinforcing the message of the new Democratic administration and Congress...In February 2007, Kaine became the first governor outside Obama's home state of Illinois to endorse his presidential bid. He campaigned vigorously for Obama nationally and helped Obama become the first Democrat in 44 years to win Virginia in a presidential race. Kaine also was among the finalists for Obama's running mate before he settled on Delaware Sen. Joe Biden.'

Kaine, originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, has worked diligently since arriving in the Commonwealth to sell Virginia to folks like himself, who are invading it and the rest of our Southron homeland.  This, of course, culminated in his handing over of 'his' State to Obama in the imperial election.  I would say that he has now received his thirty pieces of silver, but that would imply that he has betrayed Virginia.  One could certainly argue that Kaine has betrayed the native Virginians whom he misled, those who unfortunately placed their trust in him.

The point of the matter is that he is not a Virginian or a Southron from one of Virginia's sister States.  Kaine is a yankee, a carpetbagger, and his allegiance never has been and never will be to Virginia and Dixie as a whole!  'Those people,' as General Lee would often refer to yankees, are our enemies!  Their concern is pillaging what they can from the Southland for themselves and then moving on to their next target of personal wealth, power, and 'glory' - which we see here.  It's very telling that the yankee will take over as DNC chairman while he is still Governor of Virginia.  As a people, we Southrons must make this distinction between those who are our brethren - our friends - and those who are our foes.  Our enemies are relentless in the pursuit of their own personal gain - built on our subjugation and destruction - so it's high time for each of us to step forward and work even harder, even more boldly, and even more justly to stop them!

Article: 'Nathaniel Macon and North Carolina Independence'

'In his time Macon was widely admired by Americans as the perfect model of a republican statesman. By republican I mean republican with a small ‘r’. I definitely do not mean the Republican Party, which, from its very beginning, when it stole the name from better people, right up to this minute, has stood for the exact opposite of what Nathaniel Macon meant by republican government.'

Abraham Lincoln hero-worship

'It is not surprising that Lincoln is hero-worshipped as much as as he is considering the amount of propaganda used to promote his image. The question to be asked is: why so much propaganda on his behalf? What is to be gained in deifying him? A terse answer would be "For Reasons of State." It serves the intersts of those who seek to enlarge the powers of the state to deify a man who was so instrumental towards that end.'

The above is part of an article titled 'Abraham Lincoln' by Lance Lamberton from The Libertarian Forum, March-April, 1979.

More Federal over-lords named by Obama

'President-elect Barack Obama named Leon Panetta as CIA director and Dennis Blair as director of national intelligence on Friday morning.'

The goons who are to wire-tap us, follow what we buy with our credit cards, potentially torture us - even without trial - and in general snoop on our ever actions (supposedly for our "own good") are now being named by the newly elected emperor. All hail the glorious regime!

Article: 'Courage and Guns'

'I believe that many first-time gun buyers have a tendency to put the cart before the horse. Many long-time gun owners fit in the same category. Before one purchases a firearm for defense of life and property, it is imperative they realize one must first possess the courage to use this tool of liberty, up to and including deadly force. The firearm should never be the source of that courage. An inanimate object is a poor substitute for character.'

Governor Mark Sanford: Anti-government hero?

'As a South Carolina congressman and now governor, Sanford has had one primary guiding principle his entire political career — limited government. Not just limited government rhetoric, the sort of lip service paid by milquetoast Republicans to pacify their right-leaning base, but genuine, strict, fiscal conservatism. More importantly, Sanford has the guts to back it up.'

Obama to Waste More Than $300 Billion in 'Tax Cuts'

'President-elect Barack Obama plans to include about $300 billion in tax cuts for workers and businesses in his economic recovery program as he seeks to win over congressional skeptics worried that he was too focused on government spending, advisers said Sunday. The legislation Obama's team is developing with congressional Democrats will devote about 40 percent of the cost to tax cuts, including his centerpiece campaign promise to provide credits up to $500 for most workers, costing roughly $150 billion. The package will also include more than $100 billion in tax incentives for businesses to create jobs and invest in equipment or factories. The overall package of $675 billion to $775 billion is taking shape as Obama arrived in Washington and planned to begin trying to build support in Congress and among the broader public for his approach to stimulating the economy.'

Feds to Send Additional 20,000 Troops into Southern Afghanistan

'The US is preparing to pour at least 20,000 extra troops into southern Afghanistan to cope with a Taliban insurgency that is fiercer than NATO leaders expected. The troops will augment the 12,500 NATO soldiers - mainly British, Canadian and Dutch - in what amounts to an Afghan version of the surge in Iraq. New construction at Kandahar Air Field foreshadows the upcoming infusion of American power. Runways and housing are being built, along with two new US outposts in Taliban-held regions of Kandahar province...He [US Brigadier General John Nicholson] says US Gen David McKiernan, NATO's commander in Afghanistan, has made the objectives clear in calling the situation in the south a stalemate and asking for more troops, on top of the 32,000 Americans already in Afghanistan...The Army Corps of Engineers will spend up to $1.3 billion in new construction for troop placements in southern Afghanistan, said the corps commander in Afghanistan. Violence in Afghanistan has spiked in the past two years, and Taliban militants control wide swaths of countryside. Military officials say they have enough troops to win battles but not to hold territory...'

The yankee empire marches on - at the expense of the Southron nation and the rest of the world.

Iraqi Government Now Controls Southron Soldiers

'The U.S. formally transferred control of the Green Zone to Iraqi authorities Thursday in a pair of ceremonies that also handed back Saddam Hussein's former palace...Under the new security agreement between Washington and Baghdad to replace a U.N. mandate for foreign troops in Iraq, the Iraqi government also now has control of American troops' actions and of the country's airspace. The moves came amid a dramatic fall in violence over the past year. However, insurgents still stage daily attacks and could try to expand the fight now that U.S. troops cannot take unilateral action.'

Our brave and honourable brethren have been sent abroad to fight for an empire working against them, and those capitalising on their sacrifices have the audacity to place Southrons under the command of yet another foreign power (after that foreign regime in Washington, of course)!  May God allow Dixie to once again become free, with a government that truly honours its citizen-soldiers and will only call upon them for defensive purposes.

Imperialism and Vain, Yankee Materialism

'A new website hopes to save guests at president-elect Barack Obama's inauguration balls from the ultimate fashion faux pas -- wearing the same dress as someone else. Dressregistry.com invites party goers to post the designer, color and length of their outfit chosen for the dozens of January 20 inauguration bashes in Washington, DC. "Our one goal is to lessen the chance that someone attending the same event as you will be wearing the EXACT same dress," organizers write on the website.'

This article reminds me of the wealthy oligarchs of the Soviet Union and, later, the Russian Federation, who capitalised on the system and enjoyed so much luxury and debauchery, while those they ruled starved.  Those who rule this empire are no different.  These criminals are buying dresses for later this month that cost thousands of dollars - money gained at our expense and/or directly stolen from us - while Southron soldiers don't even have proper flak vests in the wars designed to benefit 'our' occupiers.  Let us resolve to rid ourselves of this imperialism and vain, yankee materialism!

Obama Preparing for 'Space Race' With China

'President-elect Barack Obama appears to be gearing up for a space race 2.0, this time with China. Obama's transition team is considering doing away with some of the barriers that separate the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA, according to Bloomberg. Citing people who've discussed the idea with the Obama team, Bloomberg says they believe collaboration between the country's civilian space agency and the military's space program would speed up the time in which the U.S. is able to send people back to the moon.'

That's right, folks; not only does Obama intend to continue (and even expand) military 'intervention' in the Middle East and waste 'only' $775 billion by lining the pockets of big business, but he hopes to take on China - in space, no less!  Needless to say, this is wasteful and simply ridiculous.  The monetary cost and the implications of trying to intimidate China aside, consider how this empire works.  Every single time more power is usurped by an official and the system becomes even more centralised - consider, for example, the merging of the 'Defence' Department and NASA - everything is framed as a 'national security' issue regarding a generally, though not always, foreign power.  Let's not be fooled by this perpetual 'game' any longer.  We Southrons deserve and can do much better!

Thousands and Thousands of Illegal Aliens Live in Public Housing

'Untold thousands of illegal immigrants live in public housing at a time when hundreds of thousands of citizens and legal residents are stuck waiting years for a spot. Illegal immigrants make up a tiny portion of the 7.1 million people in federal housing, according to government statistics. But authorities may be unaware of thousands more, and critics say no illegal immigrant should get housing benefits. The issue made headlines in November with news that Zeituni Onyango, an aunt of President-elect Barack Obama, was living in Boston public housing while in the country illegally. The federal government, which funds the lion's share of the nation's public housing, requires only that illegal immigrants share a home with at least one family member who is in the country legally and pay their share of the rent.'

As this article notes, HUD can't even say how many illegal aliens are taking advantage of the system that exploits us and living in public housing.  I would venture to say that the thousands they know of are but a drop in the bucket.  After all, this does not take into account those living in public housing funded by local and State governments.  The local, State, and federal governments may spend the money on 'public housing,' but it's our money they are spending!  This just goes to show that big government at any level causes big corruption, failure, and tyranny - all of which we Southrons must rid ourselves.

Fed and Israeli policies helped the rise of Hamas

'Hamas won a majority of seats, benefiting from the perceived corruption and incompetence of Abbas's Fatah faction. "The United States should have anticipated a result it didn't like, and it should have played it better," said Jon Alterman, of the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. "Hamas has much more power now than it did three years ago," he said. After the elections, the Bush administration began an effort to reverse the results, McClatchy reported in 2007, but it failed to weaken the group or persuade it to modify its hard-line views. As the months went on, Washington opposed Arab efforts to form a Palestinian unity government and pressed Abbas to confront Hamas. In June 2007, after months of factional fighting, Hamas forces overran Gaza, ousting Fatah's foreign-armed and trained security forces. The U.S. rounded up diplomatic and financial support for Abbas, and Israel responded by clamping down harder on Gaza.'
