'Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all - entangling alliances with none.' -Thomas Jefferson
Restrictions on free trade is one way
that the South is injured by its current one-sided relationship with the Federal Government of the United States. Tariffs
and Federal regulations reduce prosperity in Dixie and limit the natural liberties of the people.
Historically the South has favoured free trade with all the world. This position
is sharply contrasted with the historical (and present) Northern position of protectionism and tariffs. As even most
mainstream economists understand, free trade makes people better off. Take the opposite position of total self-sufficiency
and an absence of trade to its logical conclusion and the vast majority of the planet's population would perish. Trade
allows prosperity, ideas and life itself to spread. In contrast, reductions on trade lowers prosperity and makes the
spread of ideas and life far more difficult for human beings. Frederic Bastiat was famous for saying, 'If goods
don't cross borders, then armies will' and in fact restrictions on trade are in themselves a form of violence. If
we embrace the concept of liberty and the human desire for prosperity, we must embrace free trade - which is the true pro-liberty,
pro-prosperity and pro-life position.
The US Federal Government
has long restricted trade for the States and territory under its control. In the early history of the Union the tariff was
the Federal Government's primary source of revenue. Foreign trade was artificially made more expensive to fund the Federal
budget. This allowed Washington, DC to build pay for canals, roads and other improvements. Their greater populations giving
them sway in the US House of Representatives, Northern Representatives were able to funnel these projects into their home
States. The agrarian South grew cash crops for sell on foreign markets and used the profits to purchase goods from most Northern
and European manufacturers. Thus there was the incentive for the North Representatives to artificially increase the cost of
European goods in order to force the people of the South to buy Northern products at a higher than normal rate. This would
allow the Northern manufacturers to make greater profits than they would have otherwise on the free market. Naturally the
South resented this practice and it was one of the primary political issues throughout the 1800's. Today the Federal Government's
bias in favour of Northern business is still evident in its bailing-out Detroit manufacturers and New York financial institutions.
Tax money from Southern States continue to support otherwise unproductive Northern industry and unsound financial efforts.
High tariffs on heavy industry, regulations and outright prohibitions on trade with certain countries all contribute to a
reduction of prosperity in the South - in the past and today.
The solution to this problem is readily apparent. Prohibitions and restrictions on trade between the South and the
rest of the world must be eliminated. Not only is free trade a natural right of the individual, it is the path to prosperity.
It is the historical position of the South to advance the cause of free trade and to attack all Federal encroachments upon
it. Justice demands that this exploitative wealth transfer must stop. Natural Law insists upon the right of the people of
the South to trade with whom they wish.
And I would also add here that there is the well-rooted
tradition of resisting outside impositions on justice and natural rights in Dixie. And personally, I think we long over-due
in standing up for ourselves. No Federal impositions - it is time for Dixie to once again insist on liberty, prosperity and
free trade.

Confederate Memorial Day: Local services go on as planned (with video)
'Despite recent controversy surrounding Confederate battle flags
at an Auburn cemetery, the Confederate Memorial Day service at Pine Hill Cemetery on Sunday went smoothly as planned....'
'The center piece of this historical park dedication is the
world's largest Confederate battle flag, 30 feet by 60 feet. It is beautiful and waves 139 feet in the air on the southwest
corner of I-4 and I-75 at exit 261 in Tampa, Florida. The 153-foot tall flagpole was manufactured in Texas and delivered to
Florida in four sections. The pole base is 14 feet in the ground surrounded by an eight foot diameter sleeve filled with 12,000
pounds of concrete. The base of the flagpole itself is two feet in diameter with six inches diameter at the top, and an internal
hal halyard for raising the flag....'
'The Federal deficit is now out of control. When Congress consents

Europeans asks Feds to quit killing people in Pakistan with drones
'The United Kingdom and France have expressed serious reservations about the US drone attacks on the tribal areas and
have assured Islamabad that they would ask Washington to stop these attacks as soon as possible. These capitals maintain that
such attacks have not produced any positive result.'
As we have reported here, the Feds are using drones to blanket the skies of Dixie as well as Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc. Not only are
they thieves and killers - the Feds are also spies.

Florida teenager shot for carrying Confederate flag
'The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. in downtown Sarasota
near Links and Main streets. The site is across from the Hollywood 20 movie theater and is a popular nighttime gathering spot
for teenagers. According to police and eyewitness reports: Michael J. Mitchell, 18, a student at the Sarasota Military Academy,
was with a group of friends when Dan A. Azeff, also 18 and a student at Sarasota High School and Sarasota County Technical
Institute, walked by with another group. Azeff wore a hat with the Confederate symbol and carried a Confederate flag measuring
about 5 feet by 3 feet. Mitchell and a friend questioned Azeff about the hat and flag, asking if he was a racist. Azeff told
them no, he was just exercising free speech. The fight escalated and the groups exchanged racial slurs. Mitchell reportedly
pulled out a handgun and shot Azeff once in the chest, then ran off.'
Councilman receives death threats over Confederate flags
'An Auburn City Council member, who has been removing Confederate
flags from a city-owned cemetery, says that he is receiving death threats by phone and email..... "Our concern is that we get the FBI involved" he said. "We need a neutral
party that will come in and do their jobs."
While this man certainly committed an unspeakable act and seems
to have no honour, SLMN certainly does not want anyone to go to jail for threatening him. Plain and simply - he is not
worth it. No story we publish here should be taken as incitement to violence or threats. We need to be intelligent
in how we oppose those dedicated to erasing our culture and heritage. Beyond that, we would hope none of our readers
would use the sort of language in the article - nothing positive comes of that. Enough said on the subject.

Federal military-industrial complex whines about cutting F-22 program
The massive waste that is called the F-22 program has already robbed
us of an incredible amount of money. And the Feds and their owners now whine that not enough is being wasted. They will already
have 187 of these fighters - not one of which is needed to defend America. A total waste of our stolen money!
'Lawmakers,
retired military commanders and think tank experts took their turns Thursday offering arguments for and against Defense Secretary
Robert Gates’ recommendation to end F-22 production at 187 jets. Supporters of the F-22 program had hoped Gates would

Secession or Sovereignty; the Montana House Debates
'Ever since Texas Gov. Rick Perry floated the idea at a tea
party last week, the prospect of states seceding from the union has been increasingly discussed in political arenas across
the country. On Wednesday, it was Montana's turn with the debate over HR3, which failed on a 50-50 vote in the evenly
split House. But first, lawmakers argued over whether the resolution was aimed at affirming our state's rights, or the
first step toward secession.'
Auburn Councilman removes Confederate flags from graves
'Mary Norman was shocked Thursday afternoon when Auburn Councilman
Arthur L. Dowdell pulled up a Confederate flag placed on her great-grandfather’s grave and snapped it in half, she said.
Dowdell, who denies snapping the flag, said Thursday he was picking up his daughter from Auburn Junior High School near the
cemetery when several people told him they “had a problem” with the flags. He drove to the cemetery and started
pulling up flags, he said.'
I am too filled with anger at the Councilman to write anything coherent so I will
simply refrain from saying anything apart from reminding folks that justice has not been served. The article has a picture
of this jack*ss with some of the flags he stole from the graves of our Fallen Heroes.
'Sneer, sneer, boo, hiss—and oh, boy! Did the “progressives”
ever pour it on my governor, Rick Perry of Texas, for his playful reference at a Tea Party event to “secession”

'How can people condemn the South for slavery? Because, the

hearts they massacred Native Americans and conquered their territories.'

Geithner blames America for the Federally-caused economic crisis
'Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Wednesday the United
States bears a substantial share of responsibility for a global economic crisis that could cost the world up to $4 trillion
in lost output this year alone. While the crisis started in the U.S., Geithner said its damage has spread widely with
serious challenges facing much of the globe.'
This clueless servant of the Empire is now blaming everyone for
a problem the Federal Government caused through its destructive intervention in the supposedly 'Free Market'. The
Feds have no shame!
'Uncertainty has become a hallmark of Obama’s policy today.
He offers no carefully thought-out program. Instead, after perpetual “town meetings” and speeches to mass audiences

lest the economy slide to disaster.'
'Although he later downplayed his remark, Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s
use of the “S” word —- secession —- during one of the April 15 tea parties has focused attention on

by individual states to maintain independent authority.'

Every administration needs its 'boogeyman' to blame for society's problems in order to
get their laws and regulations passed. The Clinton administration had its boogeyman in the form of guns and right-wing extremist
groups. The Bush administration had its boogeyman in the form of terrorists. The Obama administration has its boogeyman in
the form of guns, terrorists, drugs, right-wing extremist groups, race relations, militia groups, immigration, bailouts, bank
failures and buyouts, recession, the list could go on but you see where I am going. What do all of these things have in common.
They are all ways to convince the mindless masses that for their own well being and safety they should accept and embrace
any new laws and regulations regardless of what current freedoms they may lose in the process. They convince the mass populace
that giving up some freedoms is worth it for safety and security in the future. The people of this country need to wake up
and realize that the government of the people, for the people and by the people no longer exists. The government as a whole
cares nothing about the ordinary citizen, they only care about furthering their own agendas and the agenda of the corporation
that the United States has become.
On to my next point. We all realize that eventually the NWO is going to
begin rounding up people on large scale. The following is the order in which I believe this will happen.
1. They
will convince the majority there is a real problem and a real danger to their safety.
2. They will begin passing
gun laws until eventually guns are outlawed (an unarmed population can never fight back, and they know it).
3.
The Constitution and Bill of Rights will become null and void.
4. Anyone who opposes them or speaks out against
them will be 'arrested' on the grounds of domestic terrorism.
5. The economy will collapse so that the
people are forced to follow the government control or starve.
6. U.N. forces will deploy inside the United States
(probably disguised as they are here to help fight the drug problem coming out of Mexico or something similar).
7. Martial Law will be enacted.
8. The round ups will not begin with leaders but with followers (what good are
leaders without followers).
9. After the followers are mostly rounded up then the leaders will be targeted.
10. The remaining roundups will be anyone they see as problem makers, organizers, or anyone who violates any of the
laws or regulations. The only people who will remain outside of the camps will be the brain dead morons who will follow the
government no matter what. The NWO can not kill everyone because then they will have no one left to order around.
This is simply my take on it and I hope that I am wrong but if you look at the evidence. I however do see a silver lining.
Every day more and more people are waking up and seeing the truth that has been slapping us in the face for years. People
are preparing and coming together as never before, ideals and information is being shared. People are letting the government
know that we are awake, we know what they are doing, and we will not tolerate their BS any longer.

Delaware Confederates Honored during ceremony May 9th in Georgetown
'For over 140 years, hardly anyone knew that Delaware had a
Confederate history. Delaware citizens who went south to fight during the “War Between the States” 1861-1865 were
rarely mentioned in the history books. But now due to research by the “Delaware Grays”, Sons of Confederate Veterans
Camp 2068 in Seaford, information about an estimated 2,000 Delaware Confederates is getting out. And on Saturday May 9th at
1pm, a “Delaware Confederate Heritage” ceremony will be held at the Soldier's Monument, on the grounds of

'Americans are leaving the Iraq War behind; it is seen as an
embarrassing episode, best unmentioned in polite company. The Obama administration is stacked with liberal hawks who supported
the Iraq War, and figures from the former Bush administration are signing book deals and making the rounds of press conferences

'The evidence is now undeniable. President Barack Obama is flouting
his unflagging constitutional obligation enshrined in Article II, Section 3 to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully

In the last few years, more so in this last year, there has been an uprising in pro'-Confederate "militias".
And in this case, using the word "militia" as an under class military. A few of these groups include the Confederate
Liberation Army, Southern Armed Forces, Confederate States Militia, and even the League of the South have all shown a "military"
stance. A lot of people disagree with using armed force against the invaders of the free States. I am talking of course about
the United States Federal Government. But after one hundred and fifty years of armed occupation, I believe it's a good
thing to see Southron men and women finally taking a stand by arms.
These militias, all share one goal, yet sadly
believe in different progresses to achieve their goal, which is Southron Independence. These progresses range from defensive
measures, to taking the war to the enemy, again. From propaganda war from the League of the South, political war from the
Southern National Congress, the defensive war from the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the armed struggle from the Confederate
Liberation Army. One way or the other, this war is being fought, once again for the defense and freedom of the Southron people.
Before you go all defensive, none of these groups support violence, or the killings of innocents. Violence is
last resort. But as it seems, given the current stance of the Southron People, that resort has been met.
On a personal
note, I am sick and tired of having the League Of the South, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Southern National Congress, Southern
independence Party, Southern National party, "Confederate States Government", Confederate Liberation Army, Southern
Armed Forces, and the Confederate States Militia. Why? Why do we have to be so separate, when we share the same goals, which
is to Preserve our Southron heritage and to restore our Free State, and to rebuild the Confederacy? It's a shame there
isn't just a "Confederate States of America" or "Confederacy". As it seems to me, if any of these
groups want to go and do something, they need each other for the support and cause. Why not work together under one roof,
instead of building an entire Subdivision? Just something to ponder. After all, our ancestors did it, why can't we?
Very confusing topic when it comes to Confederate Militias, no one wants war, death and pain. But some times, it's
all you/(we) got. Our Ancestors didn't just push aside their weapons when the Federal Empire came in their doorstep, no,
they fought back with everything they had. Why can't we do the same? Well, the time is coming where you'll be given
that option again, the Confederate Army is being rebuilt, and soon, so will the Confederacy.
Stay strong where
ever you reading this from, our time will soon come my Brothers and Sisters. Deo Vindice.
Feds killing civilians in occupation of Afghanistan

'What you never seem to hear about is the fact that black men
fought for the South. Is that out of political correctness, or is it that people don't want to offend anyone? These men

after the war. Many received medals for their service. We have black members and have done many memorial services for black
Confederates and their families. They were honored, and we were honored in doing it.'

'The Mencken knack of getting to the heart of the dark matter
of widely embraced if not exalted political democracy is seen in his treatment of Abraham Lincoln. Said Lincoln himself then
a Congressman in a speech to the House of Representatives on January 12, 1848 when he saw secession as "a most valuable
right, a most sacred right, a right which I hope and believe we can liberate the world." Hail Lincoln, if the Forgotten
Man of 1848.
That was then, before the Presidential Bug evidently bit the Congressman, before Confederate batteries
fired on the Union's Fort Sumter in Charleston's harbor. For by the time of the Civil War such secession sacredness
had somehow become a dead letter....'

Carter Conservatism - The 39th president’s modest proposal
'After what happened to Carter, no American politician today
is brave enough to ask for limits. Bush I said that our way of life is non-negotiable. Bush II told Americans to go shopping
after 9/11. President Obama says Americans “will not apologize for our way of life.” President Carter is remembered
as a weak man—yet no politician now (outside of perhaps Ron Paul) has the guts to make a similarly bold speech during
our current economic crisis.'
Excellent day. Great to see not only a new Apprentice Boys branch club opening - but the
first in Yorkshire!
City of Sheffield Campsie Club have a fantastic base to build upon and I certainly look forward
to attending more parades and functions in the future.
There was also a solemn wreath laying at the Hillsborough
Disaster Memorial attended by the Worthy Governor and General Secretary. The Blues & Royals completed their 'double'
and let no one down. A young girl from a local brass band as well as playing the Last Post at the War Memorial, also played
a moving rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone at Hillsborough.
From start to finish, the organisation and
hospitality provided by the City of Sheffield Campsie Club was second to none and I wish the club every success in the future.
P.S. the only downside to the day was the Worthy Governor of the Apprentice Boys of Derry revealing to me he was
wearing an Everton watch!!
Federal budget deficit sets March record of $192.3B
'The Treasury Department said Friday that the budget deficit
increased by $192.3 billion in March, and is near $1 trillion just halfway through the budget year, as costs of the financial
bailout and recession mount.... The deficit already totals $956.8 billion for the first six months of the budget year, also
a record for that period. The Obama administration projects the deficit for the entire year will hit $1.75 trillion. A deficit
at that level would nearly quadruple the previous annual record of $454.8 billion set last year. The March deficit was nearly
four times the size of the imbalance in the same month last year.'
'The American invasion itself was "an
extraordinary achievement," as Obama had the shameless brass to announce in Baghdad this week. "You have given
Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country." And now it's up to these ungrateful, lazy, shiftless
creatures to take advantage of the magnificent gift America has given them -- or else.
The moral depravity of this
stance is breathtaking. Invade a country for no reason, kill a million of its people, drive four million into exile, destroy
its infrastructure, plunge it into civil war, abet its "ethnic cleansing," loot its wealth, put it in the hands
of religious extremists, unleash disease, poverty and social breakdown: this is an "extraordinary achievement,"
says the progressive paladin. And now the Iraqis must "take responsibility" for the hell on earth created by their
invaders. '
'Mr. Bierfeldt was traveling from a regional meeting of
a conservative political organization know to advocate sound money, small government, civil liberties and belief in The United
States Constitution when he was detained and interrogated by Transportation Security Administration officials for having cash
in his possession. TSA agents claim having a large sum of money which could be any amount over $50.00 is cause to be detained
and interrogated. When Mr. Bierfeldt asks if the interrogation over having cash is lawful he was threatened with further detainment
and investigation by DEA and FBI....'
'For the first time in a half century and long past due, serious
people are beginning to search for ways that the famous "checks and balances" of the American constitutional order
might be invoked against a regime which recognizes no limits to its power. Such a search leads naturally to a new look at
accepted history and "law." Prof. Wood, whose knowledge of the primary documents of early American history is astounding
and incomparable, has marshaled overwhelming evidence on the matter.'
'All 50 states may use similar methods to fund their budgets
-- taxes on income, sales, property, fuel, alcohol, tobacco -- but each does so with its own formula. The differences can
be extreme. If you lived in Wyoming, the least-taxed state, you'd pay about $7 out of every $100 to the governor. In New
Jersey, on the other end of the scale, you'd fork out $12. On average, state and local governments combine to loosen nearly
10% of your income from your grasp.'
'"I think it's a terrible tragedy," Johnson said
of the markers at Oakwood, most of which mark graves in which three soldiers are buried. The Sons of Confederate Veterans
wants to work with descendants such as Johnson to provide more honorable tributes to the 17,000 Confederate soldiers buried
there.'

´Larry Kilgore of Mansfield, a former Constitution Party candidate
now calling for Texas independence and running for governor in the 2010 Republican primary, said the Burleson Tea Party is
on his side. "They’re my supporters, and they support Texas secession," he said. "The United States is
leading us down the wrong road. The only way to freedom is Texas secession."´
Confederate Memorial Day celebration in Palestine, Texas
´The
Davis-Reagan Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy No. 2292 will hold its Confederate Memorial Day celebration

to attend.´
´Idaho started the ball rolling and seceded from these united
States. A total dissolution of America quickly followed as schisms and fissures erupted across North America. The collapse
of the Mexican government caused a tidal wave of immigration to wash in to the southwestern portions of the former country.
The great financial collapse of the world economy centered on the fiscal and monetary mischief in DC and Wall Street added
yet more fuel to the fire. To tarnish the American reputation even more, hundreds of thousands of American troops were left
stranded and penniless around the globe as the economic meltdown in America reduced the dollar to Zimbabwean valuations....´
´"Maryland, My Maryland" will retain its place as official
state song, for now. State lawmakers rejected an attempt this year to change the Confederate-era poem, but key senators recently
vowed to revisit the issue when the legislative session ends next week. Among those who have changed their tune is Senate
President Thomas V. Mike Miller, a history buff who previously defended the song for its historical
value.´

´We've been hearing vague threats about this for a while, but upstate state senator James Seward has actually floated the
idea of secession -- cutting upper New York off from lower New York. He says the concentration
of power in the hands of downstaters has cut upstate out of governance, according to the Utica Observer-Dispatch.
"For the sake of upstate, we have to explore this issue and see if there is public interest," says the Milford Republican.
"And I can't think of a better way than to put the issue on the ballot."´
´When Kim Jong-Il finally test launched a missile this week,
I knew it was only a matter of time before some neocon would cry out for the resurrection of the Bush doctrine of pre-emptive
war. Sure enough, reported The Raw Story on Sunday: “Only hours after North Korea launched a rocket, Newt Gingrich was
on television saying the United States should have preemptively attacked the nuclear-armed country – with an electromagnetic
pulse.´
´The South Carolina Department of Archives and History has
enough cash stored in cardboard boxes to make a dent in the state's budget deficit. Only problem is, it's worthless
— at least until recently. The department is sorting through several boxes of bank notes issued by the Bank of
South Carolina during the Civil War and selling them on eBay and a government auction website. Some of the bank notes are
selling for 12 times their face value, according to Keith Shirey, the state's online sales manager for surplus property.´
´The news from Europe, if you listen to our infatuated media, is
that the Euros love President Obama: according to the American reportage, his recent trip there was a cavalcade of photo-ops, cheering crowds,
and hugs from the queen of England. Even the French were in awe of him! However, if you look beneath the surface, not that
far beneath the gloss and the glam there runs a current of irritation, and, dare I say it, resentment.´

NAACP seeks to ban Confederate flag in Homestead, FL
´The NAACP and other civil rights groups have joined black
Homestead residents in seeking to ban the Confederate flag and groups that support it from city-sanctioned festivities. ''That
flag is flown to strike fear in people, and it's no different than a swastika being displayed in front of Jews,''
said Brad Brown, vice president of the Miami-Dade NAACP. The issue came to a head on Nov. 11 during the 2008 Homestead/Florida
City Chamber of Commerce parade, when organizers allowed Confederate army organizations to participate in Veterans Day ceremonies
and display Confederate flags.´
Comparing our St Andrew´s Cross to the Nazi swastika is simply ridiculous!
The National Socialists stood for centralised control, the destruction of the Free Market, the expansion of their empire and
ultimately for a single, German-administered regime stretching across Europe. On the other hand, Confederates fought for decentralisation,
popular sovereignty, the Free Market and to defend their homes and lands from an invading Empire that wanted to remake them
in its own image. If the Nazis must be invoked (as is all too typical from the Leftists who hate anything Southron), then
the proper comparison would be between Lincoln (who Hitler admired greatly) and the Nazis. Both were imperialists, centralisers, destroyers of the Free Market and both led to the mass destruction
of people and property. Hitler actually applauded the Feds´ treatment of American Indians and claimed this as the inspiration for his attempt to destroy the Jewish people
in Europe. So, instead of banning the Confederate flag, maybe Lincoln´s rag and likeness should instead be removed across
the occupied-South.
´When foreign leaders stand up to the Chosen One, such matters
are not often mentioned in the controlled press of the empire. On the recent European blitz, there have been some defiance
shown.´
´As governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford has made a mark
not by creating any new social programs or by slashing taxes or making some other dramatic gesture. He's done it by doggedly
opposing new spending at every opportunity, to the point where he's struck many critics as a monomaniacal economic Luddite.´
´While John McCain was ostensibly the main attraction, the
real focus of the conference was a celebration of the man who defeated him. As David Weigel put it, the FPI conference turned
into a "Neocons for Obama" festival, as super-hawkish foreign policy maven Fred Kagan hailed President Obama’s
Af-Pak offensive as the best thing since the Iraqi "surge": "He’s definitely saying no to pulling back.
It was a gutsy and correct decision."... The brain-dead Obamaites are shamelessly eager to grant their Glorious Leader
a pass, no matter what he does. So far, there is not a peep out of Obama’s liberal supporters, except a few voices raised
at the Nation, even as the president mounts a major escalation of the Long War.´
