4 Federal soldiers killed Monday in continuing occupation of Iraq
'In the attack Monday against U.S. forces, the military said the four soldiers who were killed served
with the Multi-National Division-Baghdad but did not provide further details pending notification of their families. It said
they died as a "result of combat related injuries.'''
Terribly sad and wasteful. How many more must die
in a foreign land in an occupation that has nothing to do with our security?
Establishment view of Obama's civil liberties record (audio)
'One of the most cherished weapons for dismissing political arguments without having to engage them
is to claim they come from "the Far Left" or are confined to "liberal ideologues." For years, that
was what was said about withdrawing from Iraq even as majorities of Americans supported that
position, and it is how the political and media establishment now demonize the call for investigations
into Bush/Cheney crimes, despite large percentages and diverse ideological support for those views. Exactly the same tactic is used
to dismiss those who criticize Obama for adopting Bush policies in the areas of civil liberties and secrecy: only
people from the Far Left fringe or civil liberties extremists would equate Obama and Bush when it comes to such matters.'
General Lee & the New Confederacy (pro-South band)
Check out this pro-South band from Arkansas with songs like 'Never Surrender', 'My Dixie' and 'Southern
Belle'! They have four songs you can download for free. Good stuff if y'all like country and Southern rock.
'What will make your 4th of July special? Fireworks? Parades? Picnics? If you’re Gov. Rick Perry,
the answer is probably … tea parties. There’s a round of the “taxed enough already” parties planned
for Independence Day in the movement that targets the federal government as a big-spending, bloated entity (sounds festive).'
Federal drones killing people and spying on the world
Some recent news stories about the Feds' use of drones to spy on people and kill folks with our stolen money.
This is immoral and cowardly and needs to stop. Check out some of these links!
'Cook onion, celery, and garlic in cooking oil, stirring until tender. Dish out half the cooked mixture.
To the mixture, add tomato sauce, water, and crawfish fat, cook over medium heat and when it boils, slowly add cornstarch
and water stirring until sauce thickens, season with nutmeg, thyme, red pepper and salt to taste; set aside. To the remaining
cooked onion mixture in a saucepan add crawfish tails, butter, cook 2 to 3 minutes. Combine sauce, crawfish, green onion and
parsley. Cook, then pour into 4 pastry lined pie plates, equally divided. Wet edges of under crust, cover with uppercrust.
Press edges together; prick with a fork. Bake in a 450 degree preheated oven 5 minutes; reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake
about 15 minutes longer.'
'Parkwood Rebels turned out in droves Friday night at a rally to back the school's nickname. About 200
people from the Parkwood school district listened to nine organizers rise in passionate defense of the school's nickname,
the Rebels. Afterward, the microphone was passed so members of the crowd could respond to a movement by the local National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People to change the name. The rally was largely organized through group on the
Facebook online social network. More than 1,200 people have joined the group, which has also organized petitions at local
stores and gas stations. Organizers rented the Parkwood stadium for the rally.'
'Any time a motorist is stopped by a police officer, insists Shreveport, Louisiana Mayor Cedric Glover,
"Your rights ... have been suspended." This includes not only the freedom of movement, but also, in the event the
officer inquires as to whether the driver is carrying a weapon, "Your right to be able to hold on to your weapon and
say whether [you] have a weapon or not" – as well as the right to retain possession of that weapon, should the
officer decide to confiscate it from you.'
It's not just the Feds who don't believe in liberty and the rule
of law - obviously Mayor Glover hates freedom too.
Warning: includes
cop-on-citizen violence and cursing
(Take note of all the blood on the floor at the end of the video. The
cops cut out much of the video where this officer beat up the woman. Thankfully he was later fired. No
wonder so many people have lost faith in 'law enforcement' - some of these thugs make the mafia look like nice guys!)
Pakistan again asks Feds to quit killing people with drones
'Pakistan Thursday expressing its serious concerns over the continued drone attacks said these are not
acceptable and must be stopped as these are counter productive. “Pakistan’s position on this issue is very clear,
as these drone attacks are counterproductive and have more disadvantages than the advantages,” said Foreign Office spokesman
Abdul Basit at his weekly briefing here.'

'Members of The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) will honor those who fought in the Civil War at 2
pm, Saturday, June 27, at the Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina. The cemetery serves as the final resting place for 14 veterans
of the War Between the States. The observance will include cannon fire, a bugler playing “Taps,” a speaker from

Confederate flag shooting spurs bureaucratic frenzy
'Peace activists will hold a community forum tonight in response to the shooting of a teenage boy during a fight that reportedly
started after he carried a Confederate flag down Main Street.... community leaders invited to speak at the event will
talk about diversity in Sarasota and how to peacefully resolve conflicts. The forum will feature a panel that includes city
and law enforcement leaders, as well as administrators from Sarasota High School and the Sarasota Military Academy. Sarasota
High Assistant Principal Chris Cale will talk about a new tolerance program the school is starting, Communication Through
Passion and Contribution.'
Notice how the local government bureaucrats are taking advantage of this tragedy
to inflict yet another program upon school kids and the tax-payers. Rather than simply prosecuting the criminal who shot the
young man to the full extent of the law and warning others not to commit violence against fellow citizens, the bureaucrats
feel the need to push more government on us. A typical response from out-of-touch people who live off the tax-payers.
'Spain for years past has had its double king,—a king in possession and a king in exile, a holder of the throne and
an aspirant to the throne. For the greater part of a century one has rarely heard of Spain without hearing of the Carlists,
for continually since 1830 there has been a princely claimant named Charles, or Don Carlos, struggling for the crown.'
An interesting English-language article about our Carlista friends in Spain (thousands of whom came to Dixie and volunteered
to fight for the Confederate cause). We are not alone in advocating traditionalism, decentralism and Christian morality. Check

Virginia government to maintain Confederate cemetery at Skinquarter church
'They look like most other tombstones in the cemetery next to Skinquarter Baptist Church. But three
letters carved into the stones make these 12 graves stand out: CSA - Confederate States Army.'
While it is
great that these tombstones are going to be taken care of, it's not wise to put their protection in the hands of government.
Southrons have seen countless monuments, flags and other pro-South symbols removed by formerly friendly-turned-hostile governments
in recent years. It would be better for local pro-South patriots to take care of these tombstones themselves to ensure that
the State will not turn its back on them in the future.
'On Thursday, US drones launched an attack on a compound in South Waziristan, and when locals rushed
to the scene to rescue survivors, they launched more missiles at them, leaving a total of 13 dead. The timing and target of
the attack were controversial, as was the tactic of luring locals in with a first strike to maximize the kill count. Today,
locals were involved in a funeral procession when the US struck again.'
'We labor under a government of such monstrous reach and epic incompetence that it makes the Soviets now look like a paragon
of efficiency and probity. We suffer under a ruling class that has not simply been a gangster government under Obamunism but
has been this way since the defeat of the original Constitution in 1865.'
The role of the secessionist movement in the 2010 Texas governor's race
'As Independence Day approaches, some Texans are wondering if we may be celebrating a sort of “Texas
Independence Day” in the years to come. Governor Rick Perry’s response to the heated rhetoric in the state
capitol this April, during the Texas tea party protests, about a possible secession from the union has received nation-wide
publicity—publicity that is good for an incumbent governor facing a well-known opponent in an upcoming gubernatorial
race.'
Like-new Confederate cash found in Alabama courthouse

Obama's undeclared war against Pakistan continues, despite his attempt to downplay it

'The South is known for producing talented musicians and Deborah Brinson is no exception.
With a lyric soprano voice and the strings of a folk harp, Deborah captures the passion and pathos that lies at the heart
of Celtic music. Uniting the musical traditions of the Celts with that of her own Southern people, Deborah creates a special
blend of music. Her unique repertoire and charming stage presence bring delight to audiences wherever she goes.'
'Until we abolish legal tender laws, all attempts on the part of entrepreneurs to set up gold and silver
banking institutions will be labeled as "a tax evasion scheme to hide income." If you don’t believe me, ask
Franklin Sanders. He is a man who knows first-hand, that when you try to question the government’s role in our monetary affairs, you
don’t have a chance. How can one man win in a battle for economic freedom against the government, when the government
has vast monetary resources through its control of the printing press and armed attack squads that can use brute force against
anyone who challenges government decrees?'
'Heat wok or heavy skillet until hot. Add peanut oil and pork. Saute both sides until slightly brown.

and corn starch, stir until thickened. Spread beaten egg over mixture. Reduce heat and cover for l0 seconds more. Remove to
serving platter and garnish with green onions.'
Texas Governor's comment about seceding angers Democrats
'State Sen. Rodney Ellis, a Houston Democrat, said that by not rejecting the possibility of secession out of hand, Perry "is
taking a step down a very dangerous and divisive path encouraged by the fringe of Texas politics." The Democrats are
proposing a House resolution expressing "complete and total disagreement with any fringe element advocating the 'secession'
of Texas or any other state from our one and indivisible Union." Perry emphasized Thursday that he is not advocating
secession but understands why Americans may have those feelings because of frustration with Washington, D.C. He said it's
fine to express the thought. He offered no apology and did not back away from his earlier comments.'
Texas
Democrat leaders seem to be fully committed to the evil Empire at all costs. No matter how much the Feds steal from us; no
matter how many countries they invade and occupy; no matter how many innocent people they kill or injure; no matter
how much the Feds regulate and restrict our natural, God-given liberties people like Rodney Ellis will worship them. Sad.
'They were there to take part in a small chapter about a larger story; a story about the South.... The event was the adding of a new military grave marker to the tomb of a once prominent Statesville resident
and Civil War officer during a rededication service Saturday morning at Statesville's Oakwood Cemetery. The ceremony recalled
the life and dedication to the Confederate cause of E. Haynes Davis, a Statesville attorney and officer in different North
Carolina militia groups during the Civil War.'

'The Quakers, formally known as the Religious Society of Friends, constitute a small Christian denomination
that formed in England in the 1650s in an effort to avoid overly ritualized worship. In 1768 Joseph Maddock, an English Quaker
from North Carolina, founded in Georgia the Quaker community of Wrightsborough (named for James Wright, the royal governor
of Georgia). Maddock and other families had been thriving in Hillsboro, North Carolina, until the British representative there
established a heavy tax system. Subsequently, he and another prominent Quaker, Jonathan Sell, organized the group of forty
families who moved to Georgia. Governor Wright gave them 12,000 acres, on which the Quakers built homes, gristmills, and a
meetinghouse.'
Archeologist to speak in Marion about Confederate Navy Yard findings

the state’s Institute of Archeology and Anthropology, will give a talk in the Marion Opera House on Godbold Street about
the recent findings at a Marion County Civil War Navy Yard. The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m., Marion County Archivist Maxcy
Foxworth Jr., with the Marion County Archives and History Center, said. Foxworth said he is hoping area residents, especially
those in Marion County, will turn out for the presentation.'
Cherokee Nation's declaration of solidarity with the Confederate cause
'The Cherokee people had its origin in the South; its institutions are similar to those of the Southern States, and their
interests identical with theirs. Long since it accepted the protection of the United States of America, contracted with them
treaties of alliance and friendship, and allowed themselves to be to a great extent governed by their laws. In peace
and war they have been faithful to their engagements with the United States. With much of hardship and injustice to complain
of, they resorted to no other means than solicitation and argument to obtain redress. Loyal and obedient to the laws and the
stipulations of their treaties, they served under the flag of the United States, shared the common dangers, and were entitled
to a share in the common glory, to gain which their blood was freely shed on the battlefield. When the dissensions between
the Southern and Northern States culminated in a separation of State after State from the Union they watched the progress
of events with anxiety and consternation. While their institutions and the contiguity of their territory to the States of
Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri made the cause of the seceding States necessarily their own cause, their treaties had been made
with the United States, and they felt the utmost reluctance even in appearance to violate their engagements or set at naught
the obligations of good faith.'
Cops gone wild in the American police state! (video)
The attitude of 'I AM the law!' which is so pervasive amongst law enforcement officers (formerly peace officers
- anyone remember those days?) is demonstrated here in this highly disturbing video. If anyone thought they lived in anything
resembling a 'free country'... think again.
Warning: video contains cop-on-citizen violence
and cursing!
'State Trooper Daniel Martin, whose foul-mouthed, petulant
assault on paramedic Maurice White, Jr. was recorded and widely disseminated on the Web, “is an Iraq war veteran who
returned from the Middle East about a month beforethe May 24 incident in Paden, 40 miles east of Oklahoma City,” reports the AP. Martin, who was speeding in a frantic rush to get nowhere in particular, had his feelings hurt when the ambulance
— which was actually providing a useful service by ferrying Stella Davis to the hospital — didn’t pull over
for him. He then compounded his useless rage by imagining that the driver flipped him off. When he finally pulled the ambulance
over, Mr. White — a man of amazing patience and dignity — intervened to explain that the ambulance was carrying
a patient. This prompted a tantrum from Martin, who assaulted White twice and threatened to arrest both him and the driver.
That attempt failed, but not before Martin actually placed a hand on White’s throat to choke him as the patient’s
family looked on in stunned, disgusted disbelief.'
'The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government' by Jefferson Davis (Introduction) audio
SLMN is beginning a new project to take pro-South articles, books, essays, etc. and put them in mp3 format
so that folks can download them as audio-books from our new page. This is our first piece. It's the introduction to President Jefferson Davis' classic 'The Rise and Fall of the Confederate
Government'. Many thanks to our European friend Hedi for her work in putting it together for us. Enjoy!
'When Georgia agreed to the Constitution, it did so with the condition that the Bill of Rights be included - specifically,
the provision that all rights not expressly granted to the federal government were retained by the state. The right to determine
if the state has granted a particular right lies exclusively with the state.'
'Stover says he became interested in the idea when he noticed that he and his family members from the
Chicago area had virtually nothing in common, except that they were from Illinois. He says one of the major focuses of the
movement is to preserve the area’s “cultural heritage,” but that’s not all. He says the rest of Illinois,
meaning Chicago and Springfield, have been using Southern Illinois as a “cash cow” for too long, meaning the state
takes their tax dollars, but doesn’t give them anything in return.'
At the moment, this movement is
not that radical. Its in its early stages. Notice in the article that its leader don't support leaving the Empire. However,
there are encouraging signs. There is talk about lower taxes and popular sovereignty. These are positive trends. And smaller
is certainly better, politically speaking. Pushed far enough, and with the Empire crumbling, southern Illinois might indeed
cast her lot with the traditional South rather than a failed and tyrannical global regime ruled from Washington, DC. We'll
see.
'Torture has been universally condemned and banned by both Geneva and United Nations Conventions for
good reasons. It is also illegal under US law. It is widely recognized that torture is a line that should not be crossed,
that it starts out with sleep deprivation and winds up with torn out fingernails and even death. On a practical level, it
only is really good at producing confessions, many of which turn out to be false. It debases and turns sadistic those who
carry it out and those who order it. It is a black mark on the government that condones it and it opens the door for other
countries to engage in the same or similar practices.'
'War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses
in lives. A racket is best described,
I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows
what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people
make huge fortunes.'
New markers link The Hermitage to 'Civil War' Trail
'A home for poor and disabled Confederate soldiers and the cemetery they were buried in at The Hermitage
have become part of the Civil War Trails program. Historical markers were installed last week at the home of President Andrew
Jackson and at the site of its Confederate Soldiers Home and Cemetery.'
'Two months ago Stover created a Facebook page asking if southern Illinois should be its own state. Now it has almost 800
members and the group held its first meeting Wednesday night in Carbondale. But not everyone is buying the idea. "Although
I do think that Chicago is kind of its own self, I kind of like Illinois being Illinois," said Jennifer Sivels of Herrin.
"It would improve some things I think and complicate others, I think that the whole state gets a lot of funding because
of Chicago, Springfield, so we might actually lose some funding," said Carrie Delzer of Carterville. Money would be a
huge issue after all southern Illinois is one of the poorest regions of the state. But this group doesn't think that will
be a problem.'
Southern Illinois has much in common with Dixie and would be a natural ally of the traditional
South. Her present economic problems stem largely from Federal (i.e. imperial) policies of restricted trade, high
taxes, continuous foreign intervention and endless regulation. A free southern Illinois allied with a free and independent
South would surely be far more prosperous and her people would at last be able to determine their own future in their own
land.

'Devolved America is a vision faithful both to certain postindustrial realities as well as to the pluralistic
heart of the American political tradition—a tradition that has been betrayed by the creeping centralization of power
in Washington over the decades but may yet reassert itself as an animating spirit for the future. Consider this proposition:
America of the 21st century, propelled by currents of modernity that tend to favor the little over the big, may trace a long
circle back to the original small-government ideas of the American experiment. The present-day American Goliath may turn out
to be a freak of a waning age of politics and economics as conducted on a super-sized scale—too large to make any rational
sense in an emerging age of personal empowerment that harks back to the era of the yeoman farmer of America’s early
days. The society may find blessed new life, as paradoxical as this may sound, in a return to a smaller form.'
'New Jersey State Trooper Robert Higbee was in hot pursuit of revenue on September 26, 2006 when he
ran a stop sign and his cruiser collided with a minivan. At the time Higbee was speeding in pursuit of a speeder, doing at
least 65 m.ph. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. The collision, for which Higbee was entirely to blame, took the lives of two passengers,
19-year-old Christina Becker and 17-year-old Jacqueline Becker. Had Higbee been a productive private citizen as opposed to
a tax-feeder of the enforcer caste, he would almost certainly have been convicted of vehicular homicide. But thanks in part
to the light touch of Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten and Cape May County assistant prosecutor David Meyer, a jury saw
fit to acquit the trooper of the charge.'

'The League of the South will hold its 2009 National Conference once again in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on 30-31 October.
The confirmed speakers thus far are: Mike Crane, Ray McBerry, Mark Thomey, Tom Moore,
Dennis Fusaro (Second Amendment activist), Franklin Sanders, and Michael Hill.
Last
year’s conference dealt with the imminent collapse of the American Empire. Since then, the empire has done a remarkable
job of collapsing itself and almost everything else, especially the economy. In recent weeks, there’s been a lot of
talk of secession from various State officials, political candidates, and media commentators. After fifteen years, people
are finally listening to our message. More and more Southerners (as well as other Americans) are coming to realize that it
makes no sense to stay aboard a sinking ship.
The theme of this year’s League
conference will be “Southern Independence: What Do Y’all Think Now?” There is a rising tide of support for
secession and independence, and the League intends to take advantage of it. We hope you’ll join us this year in Chattanooga
for what promises to be a very important weekend of speeches, planning, and good fellowship.
Conference registration is $50 per individual, $75 per couple, and $100 per family. Attendees can register either
online at www.dixienet.org or by sending a check or money order to The League of the South, PO Box 760, Killen, Alabama 35645.
Please provide the names of everyone in your party, as well as city and State of residence, so we can have nametags ready
for them at the door.
A list of local hotels will be forthcoming on our www.dixienet.org
website.
Mark you calendar and make your plans to join us in Chattanooga on 30-31
October.'

NAACP tries to bully Homestead, FL into banning Confederate flag
'Civil rights groups on Thursday put city and business leaders in Homestead on a 30-day notice
that unless they meet a list of demands – including a ban on the display of the Confederate flag at taxpayer-funded
events – they will be subjected to protests and boycotts.'
Notice how the paper calls this hate group
(I refer to them as a 'hate group' because they clearly hate Southron culture and symbols and have the stated intention of
improving conditions for only one ethnic group as opposed to advancing liberty for everyone) a 'civil rights' organisation!
lol Funny stuff there. Notice too that this groups uses tactics such as blackmail much like the mafia.
'Last week, General Motors finally declared bankruptcy. Many in government thought $20 billion in taxpayer
dollars would save the company, but as predicted, it only postponed the inevitable. The government will dump another $30 billion

decisions such as where GM's headquarters should move and what kind of cars it will build.'
Maryland School blocks distribution of Confederate flag brochure

'The wave of government bailouts and the Obama administration’s economic stimulus package are
reviving interest in an issue that’s largely been dormant since the mid-1990s: states’ rights. From Idaho

they view as a worrisome expansion of the federal government at the expense of the states.'

'Secession should not be feared but embraced. Our country was borne by secession and in my opinion can
only be saved by secession. Secession in my mind is an inherent, God-given right. If one is bound by or to the state by force,
freedom has no validity and cannot exist. Secession is the virtual unbinding of the chains of tyranny. It is the emancipation
if you will, from the servitude of the state and awakens the spirit of liberty. What better solution is there when extreme
conditions exist?'
'It seems to be a forgone conclusion that American society, within a short period of time, will face

obligations without destroying the dollar.'
136th event in Arkansas recalls Confederate forces

'The question of treason is distinct from that of slavery; and is the same that it would have been, if free States, instead

to do so, if the slaveholders could be thereby induced to stay in the Union.

principle, on which the war was waged by the North, was simply this: That men may rightfully be compelled to submit to, and
support, a government that they do not want; and that resistance, on their part, makes them traitors and criminals.'

who strongly supported the right of States to secede from the Union.
'They make the laws, but do they have to follow them? In the case of photo enforcement while they are
in session, the answer is no! The Arizona DPS has granted all AZ lawmakers immunity from non-criminal photo enforcement violations.
In Arizona, that’s almost half a year. How can they vote on photo enforcement honestly when they are immune from prosecution?'
'For those who don’t follow Florida politics (and, why should you?), former Speaker of the Florida
House of Representatives Ray Sansom, who is still a House member, is facing some legal trouble. Sansom
was in line to be appointed Speaker last year, which already gave him a lot of political clout. Last year he steered
$25.5 million to Northwest Florida College, which is in his district, and another $6 million for an “education building”
at an airport 15 miles from campus, which as it turned out was to be an aircraft hangar for the use of one of his friends.
On the day he took over as Speaker, he was also appointed to a $110,000 a year job at Northwest Florida College.'
'If Americans can ever restore that sense of self-esteem and self-worth and that faith in freedom and
free markets, the weed of government involvement in healthcare will be a thing of the past.'
The new Dixie Dollar and real money verses fiat currency; Confederate statue attacked; fallen Confederate
soldiers honoured in Florida; Obama verses Ron Paul on fascism and General Motors; and more!
'President Obama is in Cairo to deliver a major address to the Muslim world, which no doubt will explain
that the U.S. government loves the people of the Middle East and is doing all sorts of good things to them. Alas, President
Obama, like his predecessor, just doesn’t get it. The reason that people in the Middle East are angry at the United
States is because the U.S. government is over there.'
'Niccolò Machiavelli, who was a sort of Karl Rove of his day, though with more integrity, said
of the Swiss that they were "the most free and most armed people" of Europe. Get it? The connection between arms
and freedom?'
Daughters of Confederacy Honor Veterans in Lakeland, FL
'United Daughters of the Confederacy, Annie H. Darracott, No. 791 recently held a memorial service to
honor the 150 Veterans interred in Lakeland's cemeteries. The ladies laid a wreath of white and yellow roses at the base of
the Confederate monument in Munn Park paying tribute to the memory of the Veterans who fought and those who paid the ultimate
sacrifice with their lives during the War Between the States. This is the chapter's 104th annual event.'
Oxford hears calls to move statue, Confederate monument called 'insult'
'A civil rights activist and former Oxford city commissioner is calling for the removal of the Confederate memorial from the
grounds of the Richard H. Thornton Library.'
This is how utterly meaningless the so-called 'civil rights'
movement has become that they confine their efforts to removing statues, taking down flags and insulting millions of Southrons
in their own land. The 'civil rights' movement is not about freedom or liberty or equality before the law - which nearly all
Southrons favour - but rather about petty and insulting attacks on cultural symbols.
'Dixie Dollar is privately-minted .999 fine silver currency for the purpose of enabling the southern
people to establish a sound monetary system free of the international banking cartels. The Dixie Dollar is Liberty Dollar
compatible and may be spent at many Liberty Dollar merchants nationwide. It is also meant to spent in this current economy
so take some along on our next trip to town and help the South build a sound monetary system one dollar at a time.'
This sounds like a good project. Using real money instead of fiat currency is a vital step forward we need to take
in Dixie.
'Federal marshals stole city activist Fane Lozman's home yesterday. In a true jack-booted thug
moment, four armed marshals in black raided Lozman's houseboat at the Riviera Beach Municipal Marina and towed
it down to Miami, leaving Lozman homeless and without all his possessions. They also seized the former U.S.
Marine pilot's three guns, which he owns legally.'
'It is obvious to Chinese officials that neither China nor the entire world has enough spare money to purchase $4
trillion of US Treasuries over the next two years. According to the London Telegraph on May 27, Dallas Federal Reserve
Bank president Richard Fisher was repeatedly grilled by senior officials of the Chinese government during his recent visit
about whether the Federal Reserve was going to finance the US budget deficit by printing money.'

Evidence of the hatred and tyranny the South faces today
Take a look at this article and one can see the sort of alien mentality that plagues Dixie (and all of North America) today.
The author calls for a government ban on public displays of the Confederate flag saying, 'Prohibiting the display
of the Confederate Battle flag within residential zones or near churches, parks, or schools is justified, and would pass constitutional
muster....' Many of us already knew we lived under an occupation government that treated us as subjects rather
than free people. However, this piece lets us see the full contempt that those opposed to our culture and self-rule have for
us. Their utter hatred for liberty is reminiscent of the darkest days of Lincoln's nearly-dictatorial reign. There is no 'live
and let live' here and neither is there any tolerance for cultural differences.
Apparently, in the so-called 'land
of the free' everyone must march in jack-booted uniformity under the Federal rag of occupation. The truth is that we are an
occupied nation that is under-going continual (and worsening) 'Reconstruction' by our conquerers. It is well past time for
Dixie to be free again.
Warning: this article will enrage any liberty-loving person.
Sons of Confederate Veterans intend to march in Homestead
'The local chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans said it intends to march at a Veterans Day parade
in November. But organizers from the military affairs committee of the Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce are debating
on whether to continue the 47-year-old event. The committee's executive board will decide Thursday whether to support the
chamber's recommendation to discontinue the parade after a controversy erupted over the one-time display of the Confederate
battle flag last year.'
'It's true that the U.S. health care system is a mess, but this demonstrates not market but government
failure. To cure the problem requires not different or more government regulations and bureaucracies, as self-serving politicians
want us to believe, but the elimination of all existing government controls.'
'Captain Isabelle Boyd CSA, born Martinsburg, Virginia (now West Virginia) on May 4, 1844, one of the
most famous of Confederate spies, who provided valuable information to General "Stonewall" Jackson during the Civil
War, today lies buried among the very "Yankees" she worked so hard against.'
'One never knows where one will find profound metaphors for human existence and society, and I certainly
wasn't looking for one while channel surfing last weekend after a morning of yard and house work. However, I had the good
fortune to flip on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and observe a perfect analogy to what our once-great society has become.'
'With a faltering economy, and skyrocketing costs, healthcare continues to be a critical issue for all
Americans. Unfortunately government encroachment into the doctor/patient relationship is poised to exacerbate our problems
with healthcare.'
'I worked night and day for twelve years to prevent the war, but I could not. The North was mad and
blind, would not let us govern ourselves, and so the war came.'
Here is an interesting audio piece sent in by a friend on YouTube called 'Old Hack'. Though we disagree on many issues, I think y'all will appreciate much he says and find his thoughts interesting on how we
can take back power from the Feds. Check it out!
Arizona's Secession and Confederate Heritage (video)
Few people likely know about this, but Arizona attempted to secede from the US in the 1860's
and was invaded by the US Federal Government and subjected to occupation - an occupation which still persists, sadly.
'Judge Andrew Napolitano, FoxNews Judicial Analyst, recently appeared on the Joe Pags radio show in
San Antonio. The Judge was asked about whether Texas had the right to secede.'

Federal central-planning contradictions in automobile industry
Remember a few years ago when the Feds were offering tax deductions if you bought a gas-guzzling SUV? Keep that in mind as
you read this.
'Uncle Sam is dealing. A "cash for clunkers" proposal making
its way through Congress would offer the owner of a gas-guzzling car or truck as much as $4,500 toward a newer, more-fuel-efficient
vehicle. Under the bill that passed the House on May 5 and a similar version under review in the Senate, qualifying clunkers
must get 18 miles per gallon or less.'
Incredible, huh? Notice how the Feds first created the problem and
now propose to fix the problem. This is typical DC behaviour. It's the natural result of centralised power over the lives
of hundreds of millions of people. First the Feds steal wealth to subsidise SUV's. Then they steal more wealth to buy back
the SUV's to encourage people to buy small cars. This is just one example of why central planning does not work. The Soviet
Union fell because of stuff like this.
'All taxation may be said to injure reproduction, inasmuch as it prevents the accumulation of productive
capital... it is a glaring absurdity to pretend, that taxation... enriches the nation by consuming part of its wealth.'
'The white shroud covering Watlington's gravestone was removed and folded. A woman scattered red petals
over Watlington's grave. A man rang a bell. More than 100 people, including nearly two dozen men wearing Confederate Army
uniforms, watched respectfully.'
'Civil War' comes to life for Highland Park first-grade class
'Every year Carolyn Conner's first-grade class at Highland Park Presbyterian Day School starts its Civil
War lesson by studying the battle of Fort Sumter in Charleston, S.C. They hear about Confederate Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard and
Union Maj. Robert Anderson and the eventual surrender to Beauregard on April 14, 1861, in the battle that started the Civil
War.'
