'During a discussion on FoxNews.com's Freedom Watch, senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano claimed
that the White House is taking "an aggressive role in local politics" and wondered if "secession movements"
are the answer to maintaining "freedom." Guest Lew Rockwell - a regular on FoxNews.com - said that "we
need to return to the original American principles of secession, of nullification, and of interposition."'
South Sudan leader sees 'real chance' of secession
The desire to be free and independent from an oppressive central regime is hardly unique to North America:
'There is a "real chance" that the 2011 referendum on the future of South Sudan will lead to a vote
for the region to break away from Africa's largest nation, the regional president said on Sunday. Sudan is at "a historic
crossroads," Salva Kiir told political party leaders at a conference in the south Sudan capital. An estimated two million
people died in two decades of civil war which ended in 2005 with the signing of a Comprehensive Peace Agreement proposing
national elections in 2010 then a referendum in 2011 on the future status of the south. "The two possibilities of unity
and secession, without speculating the results of the referendum, are real. Consequently wisdom dictates us that we prepare
ourselves to both eventualities," Kiir said.'
Zogby did a poll in July which revealed massive support for secession rights from the Empire:
'42%
of members of the armed forces and 41% of people who have a family member active in the armed forces agree secession is a
right, a result that raises some interesting questions about what would happen to a U.S. soldier from Texas in the unlikely
creation of a Lone Star Republic.'
United Daughters of the Confederacy convention in Staunton next week
'The Shenandoah Valley, once the scene of many battles during the War Between the States, will be the
site of the 114th annual Virginia Division Convention of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Convention attendees of
the statewide organization of more than 2,000 members will gather at Staunton’s Stonewall Jackson Hotel on Oct. 1-4,
2009. They will celebrate and preserve their Southern ancestry and history, share fellowship and accomplishments of the past
year, and plan for the future of the organization.'
Confederate memorial dedication planned for Murray, Kentucky
'Members of Fort Heiman Camp 1834 Sons of Confederate Veterans of Murray will conduct a memorial and
military grave marker dedication in honor of Pvt. Peter Salyer, a Confederate veteran of Company A, Third Kentucky Infantry,
CSA.'
'When introduced to a person whose acquaintance you did not care to make, it was acceptable to make
acknowledgment of the introduction by a formal bow upon meeting that person, but the bow was sufficient. Conversation and
further acquaintance with the undesirable person was not an obligation, but the bow was. Although shaking hands was commonplace
enough in America at that time, it was not normative behavior among the well-mannered. The distinction of handshaking as a
lower class practice can be seen in works such as Mark Twain’s Roughing It where the more socially backward the person,
the more apt they are to be found shaking hands. Introductions at a ball or dance where the purpose of the introduction was
to dance rather than for business purposes or to make a new friend, it was considered highly inappropriate to shake hands.
Location also affected where shaking hands would be permissible. The more public the place in which people met, the less appropriate
it was to shake hands. Shaking hands was considered far too personal a matter to be employed casually.'
Listening to Bill O'Reilly is worse than torture - it's worse than being water-boarded
by the CIA. I was listening to some audio of this moron defending the Feds' occupation of Afghanistan this evening. He
argued for giving the generals over there however many troops they want so that the Empire wouldn't get its nose bloodied
and be forced to give up its apparently indefinite occupation of a foreign country. Imperialism is disgusting... and I'm tired
of having my money stolen by the IRS in order to pay for it. -PalmettoPatriot
Feds kill 10 people in drone strike on other side of planet
'A US drone attack today killed 10 militants from a network fighting Western troops in Afghanistan at
their compound in Pakistan's tribal belt, officials said. "Ten dead bodies were recovered from the debris of the house
and two militants were wounded in the attack," a Pakistani security official said.'
The Feds' war
machine continues to kill people who resist occupation of their country.
The blog 'Confederate Catholics' links to quite a lot of SLMN matierial. On their site it says:
'Southern Catholics temporarily displaced
in the North who wish to bring out the truth about Catholics, politics, sports, the South, the Civil War, the invasion of
our Republic by millions of illegal immigrants, and true racism.'
'Firearms differ from other consumer products in that – with proper maintenance – their
serviceable life can be measured in generations. I own several firearms that are over a century old but, thanks to proper
maintenance and the fact that proper ammunition for them is still available; they are as useful today as they were in the
19th century.'
SC governor hopefuls won't revisit Confederate flag issue
'All five Republicans who hope to be governor agreed during their first debate Tuesday night that it
wasn't a good idea to revisit the Confederate flag controversy....'
Our war-loving Foreign Policy Community hasn't gone anywhere
'It's hard to overstate how aberrational -- one might say "rogue" -- the U.S. is
when it comes to war. No other country sits around debating, as a routine and permanent feature of its political discussions,
whether this country or that one should be bombed next, or for how many more years conquered targets should be occupied. And
none use war as a casual and continuous tool for advancing foreign policy interests, at least nowhere close to the way we
do (the demand that Iran not possess nuclear weapons is clearly part of an overall, stated strategy of ensuring that
other countries remain incapable of deterring us from attacking them whenever we want to). Committing to a withdrawal
from Iraq appears to be acceptable, but only as long as have our escalations and new wars lined up to replace it (and
that's to say nothing of the virtually invisible wars we're fighting). For the U.S., war is the opposite of a "last resort":
it's the more or less permanent state of affairs, and few people who matter want it to be any different.'
I was listening to NPR (yes, I know... yuck!) an hour or so ago and the show 'Fresh Air' had a supposed
expert on the 'conservative movement' who was badmouthing Glenn Beck and took the opportunity to insult Lou Dobbs for recently
inviting his listeners to check out a website that dares to have a few articles in favour of secession from the US Empire.
The same 'expert' also found laughable the idea that the US is increasingly fascist.
Vermont, too? Secession movement expands beyond Texas
'[T]o Texas separatists like [Texas Nationalist Movement leader Daniel] Miller and Republican gubernatorial
candidate Larry Kilgore of Mansfield, secession is no laughing matter. Nor is it exclusive to the nation’s second-largest
state. Fanned by angry contempt for Washington, secession movements have sprouted up in perhaps
more than a dozen states in recent years. In Vermont, retired economics professor Thomas Naylor leads the Second Vermont Republic,
a self-styled citizens network dedicated to extracting the sparsely populated New England state from "the American Empire."'
Boy Scouts and Red Cross helped get Confederate flag banned in Homestead parade
'In a huge victory for civil rights advocates, the Confederate battle flag was banned this week from
the 2009 Veterans Day parade in Homestead. But the fight is not over, supporters of Confederate States organizations say.'
How is banning a flag a victory for 'civil rights'? Aren't civil rights about liberty? In fact, this ban was a blow
to freedom - decided by a committee of bureaucrats. How Orwellian if banning particular cultural displays is what the 'civil
rights' movement is now about! Notice too that the Red Cross and the Boy Scouts were involved in banning our flag's display.
If you or your friends and neighbours work with these groups I would advise leaving them for their anti-Southron political
bias.
Pro-imperialist propaganda from war hawks who support the group of criminals otherwise known as the US Federal
Government. The Feds and their servants never seem to tire of glorying in invasion and war (with our stolen money), do they?
Disgusting.
Homestead, FL Veterans' Day parade organisers ban Confederate flag
'The Veterans Day parade that will be held in Homestead later this year will be missing one controversial
symbol: The Confederate battle flag. That's because organizers decided to ban the flag from the parade after much back-and-forth
debate. For some, the flag is a symbol of Southern pride. But others say it's a symbol of the country's racist past..."I
can even envision that there won't be a parade after all of the attempts by the NAACP to threaten the sponsors of the parade
into submission," Greg Kalof of the Sons of Confederate Veterans said in an e-mail to the newspaper. "It's a sad
state of affairs when a veterans group, like the Sons of Confederate Veterans, are told that they cannot carry the one flag
that represents their group, their ancestors and their heritage."'
This is an update
on the news story previously covered by SLMNews. Despite initially 'allowing' the Confederate flag to be carried in
the parade, the Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Committee has since gone back on its word and
decided to ban it. This is but one of the many instances of politically-correct (yet historically and otherwise false)
cultural cleansing occurring all across Dixie. Feel free to voice your opposition to the course of action taken by the
Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce, especially MAC chairman Jeffrey Wander.
Second Southern National Congress Concludes With Passage of the 'Southern National Covenant'
September 13, 2009; Delta, AL - One hundred and fifty Southerners from the fourteen Southern States convened
at the Second Southern National Congress (SNC), September 11-13, at scenic Cheaha State Park, the highest point in Alabama,
and passed several important measures, including the Southern National Covenant. The Covenant, like the SNC itself, has its
roots in the age-old hunger for liberty in the Western world. It echoes other historic covenants that proved to be crucial
turning points in Western man's struggle to secure freedom and justice under law. Signers of the Covenant on September 13,
many of whom sealed their signatures in blood, pledge to resist Federal tyranny and work to restore liberty, justice, and
sovereignty for the Southern States and People.
Author Kirkpatrick Sale, President of the Middlebury
Foundation and Delegate for South Carolina, called it an "extraordinary document." Passed unanimously by the 14
State Delegations, he said it is "strong in its rejection of the United States empire and in the need for a new foundation
for law and government and a restoration of sovereignty of the Southern people."
SNC Chairman
Thomas Moore noted, "The Southern National Covenant is patterned in part after the Scottish National Covenant of 1638,
a turning point in the defeat of royal absolutism and tyranny in the British Isles, and which is part of America's heritage
as well as of Scots and Englishmen. At the Second Congress we felt we were standing in a procession of continuity with our
forefathers who shed their blood for human dignity and freedom. As the final vote was tallied, we all looked around at one
another in awestruck silence. It was a solemn, emotional, and historic moment when the SNC adopted this unique pledge devoting
ourselves to Southern liberty."
The SNC is urging all Southerners who oppose the increasing
outrages of Federal corruption and tyranny to sign the Covenant, share it with their fellow Southerners, and encourage them
to sign. A down-loadable version is available on the SNC website, www.southernnationalcongress.org.
In
the day-and-a-half session, made up of 111 Delegates and Officers and witnessed by 40 observers, the Second Congress also
debated and agreed to the following measures:
• A proclamation calling for a Day of Repentance
and Intercessory Prayer for the Southern Nation.
• A "Resolution and Appeal"
aimed at Southern law enforcement and National Guard officials reminding them that they serve the People and not the temporary
occupants of public office. It urges them to keep their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution; and in the event of
a national emergency, to refuse to take part in an unlawful suppression of civil liberties.
• Two
resolutions, called "Remonstrance and Petition for a Redress of Grievances," opposing the Obama Administration's
government health care plan and abortion.
Warmly hosted by the Alabama SNC Delegation, participants
at the Second Congress, including 25 new Delegates, enjoyed two evenings of Southern fellowship, enlivened with traditional
Southern cooking, beverages, and music.
The proven model for the SNC comes from America's own
history - the First and Second Continental Congresses of 1774 and 1775, when our colonial forefathers created their own alternative,
legitimate forum to represent their interests and voice their grievances in a way that was not otherwise possible. The SNC
goal is similar, to bring into being an independent forum with moral authority because it reflects the true interests of the
Southern people - the preservation of their liberty, prosperity, culture, and identity.
SNC Chairman
Thomas Moore is available for media interviews at chairman@southernnationalcongress.org.

Cash for Clunkers: Scrapping Common Sense and Our Future
'US retail sales rose sharply in August, boosted by the "cash for clunkers" scheme that offered
motorists incentives to buy new cars. Sales rose by 2.7% from the previous month, following the surprise fall in sales in
July, the official figures from the Commerce Department showed. But compared with the same month last year, sales fell by
5.3%...There are concerns that sales could now fall away again. "The retail sales obviously was inflated by the cash
for clunkers, and the autos rise is going to be reversed," said David Sloan at 4Cast.'
Some
seem quick to hail 'Cash for Clunkers' as a success, yet like all government meddling and corporate welfare, it only benefits
a tiny fraction of elites at the expense of the rest of us. Indeed, auto sales rose slightly, but that is in direct
proportion to the amount of our money pumped into the market and the pockets of auto manufacturers. The 'success' is
completely artificially inflated, and now that this particular programme and its funding have ended, what are we to expect
other than a reversal and perhaps even another 'bailout'?
Fed Chairman Bernanke has the audacity
to claim that the recession is 'very likely over,' even though Washington's 'solutions' have been the very same tactics which
caused this economic downturn, created monumental debt, inflation, and higher prices for food, fuel, and other necessities.
Instead of scrapping common sense and our future by remaining under this system, why shouldn't Dixie scrap Washington and
go its own way?
Student to fight court decision on Confederate clothing
'A South Carolina teen who sued a school district over the right to wear Confederate-themed clothing
to school will appeal a ruling that sides with the district, her attorney said Wednesday. "This is an immanently appealable
decision," said Kirk Lyons, an attorney for the Southern Legal Resource Center based in North Carolina. "I think
we can get this reversed in the Fourth Circuit." In 2006, Lyons' group filed a federal lawsuit against the Latta School
District on behalf of Candice Hardwick, then a 15-year-old high school sophomore.'
'The US may require more troops in Afghanistan despite almost doubling the size of its force there this
year, its top military officer has said. Adm Mike Mullen told the Senate Armed Services Committee "a properly resourced
counterinsurgency probably means more forces". He said that he did not know how many more troops were likely be requested...The
US currently has about 62,000 troops in Afghanistan and that figure is expected to rise to 68,000 by the end of the year.
There were around 32,000 American troops in the country at the start of the year...He [Mullen] said that it was clear that
more resources would be required if President Obama's revamped counterinsurgency strategy was to be properly implemented.'
With ever-mounting military and civilian casualties, billions upon billions of dollars
being wasted, and a majority opposed to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, one might think that Obama would not escalate these
wars and their costs (in every sense). Alas, the individuals who voted for Obama, believing that he was the 'peace'
candidate, are becoming increasingly aware of the fact that the imperial president for 'change' is just that - the President
of the American Empire.
A more accurate campaign slogan for Mr Obama would have been
'Business as Usual.' The only apparent 'change' in this administration's behaviour is that it continues to take the
same kind of tyrannical actions of prior administrations, only more of them and at an even more rapid pace. So long
as Dixie remains under the yoke of Washington, District of Criminals, we Southrons will never have a president we can call
our own.
Only 39% support the Feds' occupation of Afghanistan
'Support for the war in Afghanistan is at an all-time low, according to a new national poll. A CNN/Opinion
Research Corp. survey released Tuesday morning indicates that 39 percent of Americans favor the war in Afghanistan, with 58
percent opposed to the mission.'
Rep. Steve King defends Joe Wilson’s support for the Confederate flag
'Being a son of the South puts you in a different position when it comes to the Confederate flag. It
means something entirely different to the people who have ancestors who fought in the Civil War on the south side of the Mason-Dixon
line.'
'In short, the North exults beyond measure in the proof she has given, that a government, professedly resting on consent,
will expend more life and treasure in crushing dissent, than any government openly founded on force, ever has done. And she
claims she has done all this in behalf of liberty!'
Anti-Feds rally coming to the Midlands of South Carolina!
Do you hate the Federal Government of the United States? Who doesn't, right! Would you like to join with fellow Southrons
in protesting the Feds? Your chance is coming up! There will be a anti-Feds rally in the western Midlands of South Carolina
in the next few weeks. More information will be forthcoming once we have all the details worked out. It will likely be on
a Friday afternoon near a busy highway. Signs will already be made. We encourage you to bring your South Carolina flags
with you, though we will have a large one there. The event will be video recorded and put on YouTube for those unable to attend.
Stay tuned for more information coming out in the next few days!
Quietly building the totalitarian state in America, with the full complicity of the Big Media
'Most states in the modern world use the Miracle Cures of Paper Money and the Central Planning of Finance,
as has been done in the U.S. to a stunning extreme by the Fed and the Big Banks working under that vast government umbrella
of guaranteed free money for them. Caesar Augustus perfected the Secret Tyranny in Rome, hiding so successfully behind his
big lies of Republican Freedoms and other virtues that he looked like an ordinary citizen of vast benevolence.'
Many articles have recently appeared in the wake of the Joe Wilson ('You lie!') controversy which seek to
depict South Carolinians as backwards, hateful people who need to get on-board with the 'progressive' movement of other parts
of the Empire. What is quite clear is that the Palmetto State is very different from Leftist meccas like New York and California.
Perhaps rather than simply accept this hostile treatment on a continuous basis, South Carolinians should start seeking a divorce
from their belligerent 'partners' in this unholy 'Union'.
Student rights questioned in Confederate flag controversy
'He could have let it go when the RA told him to take it down. Nobody else gets to hang stuff on the
study lounge balcony anyway. What difference would it make? As Kyle Johnson stepped outside the study lounge of the fourth
floor of Knowles Hall, his temporary room, and began to take down the Confederate flag he hung on the railing, he said a group
of about 25 people below started to cheer. “So I just put it back up,” he said. “The surrender of liberty
should not be met with applause.” But because he left it up, the right for students to display symbols of their choosing
from the windows of their dorms is now up in the air.'
Jacksonville, NC Sons of Confederate Vets to meet Monday
'The Sons of Confederate Veterans/Order of the Confederate Rose meets Monday. The meeting begins at
7 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 4764 Gum Branch Road. Call 910-455-5485 for more information.'
'Consider but a few issues on which Americans have lately been bitterly divided: school prayer, the
Ten Commandments, evolution, the death penalty, abortion, homosexuality, assisted suicide, affirmative action, busing, the
Confederate battle flag, the Duke rape case, Terri Schiavo, Iraq, amnesty, torture. Now it is death panels, global warming,
“birthers” and socialism. If a married couple disagreed as broadly and deeply as Americans do on such basic issues,
they would have divorced and gone their separate ways long ago. What is it that still holds us together?'
'Progressives' wonder: What's the matter with South Carolina?
'With two shouted words during the president's speech to Congress Wednesday night, Congressman Joe
Wilson cemented South Carolina’s status as the geographic center of opposition to the Obama White
House. Just under nine months into the president's term, the state has emerged as a beachhead for the president's most aggressive
conservative critics, a secure launching point for some of the harshest attacks on the administration’s policy initiatives.'
This article implies that there is something 'wrong' or 'backwards' about the Palmetto State because it's not a carbon
copy of Massachusetts or California. It is as if the Feds' cheerleaders on the 'progressive' Left expect that thousands
of miles of distance, a different culture, different demographics and a different political tradition should have no effect
on politics - rather that we should all be goose-stepping together under the Obama banner. The real question is:
what planet are they living on? Of course South Carolina is different - and the vast majority of South Carolinians are proud
of that fact!
'One hundred and twenty-four years after his death and 144 years after the end of the Civil War, 2nd
Lt. John Potter was remembered on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. On that day, a memorial Confederate veteran marker was dedicated
at the Potter Cemetery on Elkhorn Creek, in John Potter’s memory.'
'James Henry Hammond purchased Dr. Milledge Galpin's residence near Beech Island and named it Redcliffe
Plantation. James Henry Hammond was a US Congressman (1835-1836), Governor of South Carolina (1842-1844), and US Senator (1857-1860).'
Below is an SLMN-original picture of the beautiful plantation house.
'What is with American flagomania? The great Walter Karp showed that originally, the military banner
of the state–for that is what it is–flew only over military posts, or in battle. That changed with Lincoln, when
the military’s flag and flag bunting were used in civilian life. It stepped up, as all bad things do, in each subsequent
war. Then came the federal edict making it illegal for the now-holy flag to touch the ground, and mandating disposal of a
worn flag with a burial cerremony, or cermonial burning. Burning with the wrong attitude, however, must be a jailable offense,
according to conservatives. I first noticed massed flags backing Bush and Cheney during appearances. Now Pelosi and Obama
use them too. At his recent pro-union speech in Cincinnati, Obama had bunting on the front of the stage, and nine flags backing
him up.'
Are you yet ready to get rid of your Federal rag of occupation - a flag that was forced upon Dixie
at gunpoint? How intolerable will the DC regime have to get before you are willing to say goodbye to the stars and stripes?
Wamp says he would defend States' rights as TN governor
'Tennessee needs a governor willing to stand at the state line and guard against federal incursions
in areas ranging from guns to environmental enforcement, Republican gubernatorial hopeful Zach Wamp said Monday. “Part
of the reason I’m running for governor is because states are going to need to declare their sovereignty, stick together
with other governors to protect freedom in our states and be willing to meet the federal government at the state line whether
it’s environmental regulations, the speed limit, gun laws, whatever the federal government’s doing that’s
onerous,” the Chattanooga congressman said.'
Hot air or is this congressman for real? We certainly need
folks willing to tell the Feds 'No!' Sadly, we are all too familiar with politicians full of hot air telling us what they
think we want to hear in order to get into office - and then going back on their promises.
NATO kills scores of civilians in Afghan airstrike
'Afghan Rights Monitor, an independent human rights group, reported that its survey of the area following
Friday's attack shows it killed as many as 70 villagers who were siphoning gas from the vehicles after they became stuck on
a sand spit in the Kunduz River. The group's report came as the German government backed down from its previous insistence
that only the Taliban hijackers had died, conceding some civilians likely were killed.'
The massacre of innocent
people on the other side of the world by the Empire and its proxies continues. This is in part what your tax money goes towards
- killing innocent people. Are you comfortable with that fact?
'The U.S. economy may witness double-digit inflation in a few years unless the central bank tightens
up its monetary policy, Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, said Monday. "Unless we roll in this
whole degree of expansion, we will be in trouble. I am not talking 3%-5% inflation, I am talking double-digit inflation in
the U.S.," Greenspan told a conference in Mumbai via videoconferencing. He said inflation in the U.S. may begin to pick
up sometime in 2012 unless measures were taken to roll back the huge monetary base.'
Of course,
Greenspan was the Fed chairman for almost two decades, during which the seeds of numerous economic downturns (including this
one) were sown. During his 'reign,' Greenspan certainly didn't seem to mind the printing of worthless Federal Reserve
Notes and the 'proper' amount of government meddling; so, for him to make this prediction, we know Bernanke and the
Obama administration are running this empire into the ground at an even more rapid pace.
As this
broken system (barely) stands, inflation has already been on the rise and is not some blight of an unknown, 'magic' origin;
through its meddling, the federal government is simply stealing that much more from us as our hard-earned dollars become even
more worthless. The ship of our occupiers is sinking; it's high time we throw Dixie a lifeline and set our own course
as a free and independent nation!
'One of the biggest promoters of immigration to northern Dakota Territory in the 1880s was a former
officer in the Confederate Army who counted Mark Twain and Jesse James among his former friends.'
'Ron Bloom, a top member of President Barack Obama's auto task force, will take on a new role as the
administration's senior counselor for manufacturing, the White House said Sunday. Bloom, who will keep the spot he has had
on the auto task force since February, will work on manufacturing policy and strategic planning in his new position. He will
work with a host of federal agencies, including the departments of Commerce, Treasury, Energy and Labor...Before joining the
administration, he worked at the United Steelworkers Union and was a founder of Keilin and Bloom, an investment bank that
worked on transactions on behalf of labor unions..."A strong manufacturing sector is a cornerstone of American competitiveness
and a critical part of President Obama's economic strategy," Bloom said in a statement. "As we meet the challenges
of globalization and technological change, it is vital to have a concerted effort across the Administration to support an
innovative, vibrant manufacturing sector."'
'Cash for Clunkers' programme for appliances in the works
'If you missed your chance to get cash for your clunker, you may soon have another shot at getting government
money for going green. Just step out of the garage and into the kitchen. This year's stimulus bill funded a $300 million program
that will offer rebates of varying amounts to buyers of energy-efficient appliances and other products that carry the "Energy
Star" label.'
Here comes yet another unconstitutional, 'fascialist,' counterintuitive,
debt-filled 'stimulus' measure. When will 'our' occupiers' shopping spree (with our money) finally come to an end?
It will come to an end when we Southrons withdraw our consent and our states from their broken system!
Will the economy fall into deflation, inflation, or hyperinflation? How can you protect yourself?
'Are you and your community going down the drain with the national economy? But why? You are standing on acres of diamonds.
How to revive your local economy. Mapping local cash flows, and keeping them circulating locally. Creating local ownership
and production of safe local food, water and other essential strategic resources. How a national economy got us into this
mess, and how we can escape it.
Stop forging your own chains. Free yourself from Federal Reserve money legally.
Creating a monetary system for your local economy that will stay in your economy.

'If any Texas Republicans had never heard of Larry Kilgore, they probably have now. Kilgore, 44, of
Mansfield, is an anti-abortion activist and perennial Republican candidate. Until Gov. Rick Perry piped up, he was the only
candidate talking about Texas seceding from the United States. Now he's the video star of the nightly TV news report "Texas:
Outta Here or Not?"'
Homestead, FL Veterans' Day parade to go ahead with Confederate flag
'Organizers will go ahead with the popular Veterans' Day parade in Homestead despite the controversy
over a group marching for the first time with the Confederate battle flag last November. They decided at a meeting Thursday
that they could not ban the flag as the Miami-Dade chapter of the NAACP had demanded.'
'Republican candidate for governor Larry Scott Kilgore delivered a fiery speech in front of the Texas
Capital last Saturday. In a barely fluctuating yelling pitch, Kilgore, who champions secession, tried to present the federal
government as the real villain in the crowd's problems, ruining social security, health care, the military, and oil, among
other things. "Howdy y'all, I hate that flag up there, that flag that's above the Texas flag, that's the United States
flag. I hate the United States government!" he said in his opening line. He believes that many other states want freedom
as well, and that the breaking up of the United States could occur peacefully, "like in the Soviet Union." "We
do not want that sovereignty stuff, we want freedom, total and complete freedom, secession!" he told the crowd.'
Do y'all reckon one has to 'try' all that much to 'present the federal government as the real villain'? The
feds - yes, the real villains - do an awfully nice job of that all by themselves! This brief article could be far worse,
but kindly notice how the author goes about in describing Mr Kilgore and his stance: 'in a barely fluctuating yelling pitch,
' 'believes that what we all need is freedom to be under biblical law apparently - he has expressed belief in biblical law
as the foundation for all law,' etc.
We're not talking about some theocracy, as the author seems
to indicate; we're talking about God-given, inalienable rights - the entire premise upon which the Founders based the Declaration
of Independence and the Constitution! If you're willing to believe that a human being or a document bestowed you with
your rights, then be prepared to see them taken away by a human being and their crooked 'interpretation' of such a document.

English, a situation that creates communications breakdowns, the group [the Project on Government Oversight] said. Pantomime
is often used to convey orders and instructions. In at least one case, supervisors brought prostitutes into the quarters where
the guards live, a serious breach of security and discipline, the watchdog said this week. In other instances, members of
the guard force drew Afghans into activities forbidden by Muslims, such as drinking alcohol, it said.'
So, in all fairness to 'our' occupiers and their penchant for imperialism, they don't 'just' steal our money in order
to kill civilians on the other side of the world; there's a whole lot more to it than that! As for us Southrons, in the words
of President Davis, 'All we ask is to be left alone.'
'The pace of U.S. job losses slowed in August while the unemployment rate reached a 26-year high, signaling
the recovery from recession will be slow to develop. Employers cut payrolls by 216,000, fewer than forecast, after a 276,000
drop in July, Labor Department data showed today in Washington. The jobless rate rose to 9.7 percent; the so- called underemployment
rate -- which includes part-time workers who'd prefer a full-time position and people who want work but have given up looking
-- reached a record 16.8 percent.'
After pumping trillions into the market and filling the
coffers of their cronies, the feds would like us to believe that the economy is headed for a 'slow return.' Indeed, by arrogantly
believing that they can control the economy and by throwing money at the problem, they may have temporarily, artificially
inflated it. However, in order to keep up this charade, the criminal enterprise known as the federal government will have
to implement additional 'bailouts' and other 'stimulus' measures. Washington, District of Criminals is simply plundering
Dixie and the other nations of this empire for all they're worth! Is it just me, or does the notion of a free and independent
confederation of Southron States sound better and better with each passing day?
'A televised address by President Barack Obama to schools across the country is raising concerns among
some parents, KMBC's Kris Ketz reported. The White House said Tuesday morning's speech will be about kids doing their best
in school. But some parents are concerned Obama will use the address to sell kids on his plan for health care or the rest
of his administration's agenda.'
This should indeed be a cause for alarm among parents with
children in the indoctrination mills - I mean, government-run 'education' - but this is not a recent development in the least
bit! Public schools have long - some would say, from the very beginning - fed a false, one-sided, amoral, and politically-correct
approach to history, politics, culture, morality, etc.
The value of withdrawing one's children
from such an 'institution' and homeschooling them cannot be underestimated. In doing so, we teach our children the truth
and withdraw our consent from this system; in doing so, we are preventing the 'cleansing' of our culture and providing our
children with the knowledge to defend it and see to its survival; in doing so, we are ensuring an even brighter future for
Dixie!
If implemented, federal subsidy would waste additional $600 million
'New York is the third largest milk producing state in the nation [sic!], but dairy farmers continue
to take a beating. Sen. Charles Schumer wants the federal government to take emergency action, he's urging the U.S. Department
of Agriculture to provide $600 million in additional dairy price supports over the next six months. Schumer said many dairy
farmers are on the brink of financial ruin because of plunging milk price supports and soaring production costs.'
This shouldn't come as a surprise, as the government in question has already (unconstitutionally, illegally) wasted
trillions (in worthless Federal Reserve Notes) in bailouts and other 'stimulus' measures. Aside from the constitutionality
and the 'efficacy' of subsidies (or the lack thereof), as a Southron coming from a long line of farmers, I can personally
attest to the fact that your typically small, family-owned farm does not see much, if any, money from such measures.
The giant, globalist agribusinesses receive the vast majority of the funds, which only further enables them to run your average
Southron farmer out of business.
Did it ever occur to any of 'our' handlers that it is this reckless
spending that has brought upon these financial woes to begin with? You'd better believe it has occurred to them!
Why would they do this then? The short, unpleasant (yet accurate) answer is that the feds and their lapdogs on the state
and local levels find it more profitable for themselves to buy votes and campaign funding with OUR hard-earned money.
This is one of the many reasons why we Southrons must free ourselves from this parasitic system!
'Although California was far from the major actions of the Civil War it was considered very important
by both sides because of its riches and geographic position near Mexico. While California dealt with its Native-American population
very harshly it was an anti-slavery Union state. However; a number of California’s cities were hotbeds of pro-Southern
sympathies including Los Angeles, Santa Rosa, Visalia and Sacramento. This was a major concern to Union commanders who quickly
moved troops from the West to strengthen garrisons in the Golden State. Union soldiers protected wagon trains of California
gold heading East.'
